About this Cook
I'm only eighteen years old and just got started being interested in baking. I haven't taken any cooking classes, only one back in middle school, so I am a beginner to most cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make desserts, they're so simple and easy and fun to make! I'm not much of a main dish maker since they involve so much ingredients, but I do hope I can give some recipes a try!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom has a recipe from her aunt for Sloppy Joes, it's rare that she makes them, but they are absolutely amazing!
My cooking tragedies
I had this recipe for a single serving chocolate chip cookie, but the problem was I added way too much baking powder, it tasted awful!

Healthier Best Brownies
I was a little iffy with the ingredients, not sure if they'd turn out to taste like regular brownies. But when I shared them with my brother and his friends, as well as classmates and co-workers, they all love them! I made them for Valentine's day as a little sweet treat. ;) I didn't make the frosting, I bought it instead because I didn't have the time to make the frosting! But this is my now go-to recipe for 'healthy' brownies!

Sloppy Joes II
I love sloppy joes, they were always my favorite. My mom has this recipe from her great aunt that she always made, well now it was my turn to make my own version. So I used this recipe! My mother is a very picky eater, worse than me, so I was hoping she would like it. And she did! So did I! It was very good, though I could have added some water, tomato sauce, or more ketchup in it to make it more moist. But it was still very good! I will definitely make this again someday!

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes
I made these on the weekend, not knowing how well they would taste, so I made only half of the recipe because I didn't want to make ten pancakes for myself (I'm the only one in my family that loves pancakes, crazy, right?!) I definitely had to add the blueberries because I'm a huge blueberry fan, and once I tasted them I was surprised how wonderful they were! I added some vanilla and cinnamon to them because I mostly add vanilla to everything, sometimes cinnamon. This recipe is a definite save! It was the first time I made homemade pancakes, now I don't have to buy the store bought boxes! Give this a five star!
