Beer Butt Rosemary Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
Very good chicken! Very juicy. I added carrots and onion quarters to the bottom of the pan with the red potatoes and they all turned out well. After the chicken was picked and the veggies were taken out of the broth I put the carcass and broth into a crock pot with water to make fanstastic chicken stock for another recipe!

Salsafied Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
Took away the rater's comments and woah, this dinner went over really well! Added more salsa, two tomatoes, a little water (since I used white rice, not instant), the Taco Seasoning I recipe seasonings and served in tortillas with sour cream, shredded cheddar and olives on top. A few bites and my husband said "Five Stars!" and "Make this again sometime!" Love that. Thanks.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
Very good pancakes - very fluffy! You're right, they were GONE almost as soon as they hit the table! Just one suggestion that I like with pancakes is to add one tablespoon of lemon juice in the batter as I love that tangy taste. But the vinegar trick with the milk was great! Thanks for a great recipe!

Pita Chips

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2012
This was great! So easy, thanks reviewers for the tips on baking and cutting and oiling. My first batch did not crisp enough, so the next day I just put them back in the oven again for six minutes and that made them perfect. My daughter loves the cinnamon and sugar kind.

Monkey Bread II

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2012
Really good !-- will wait to cool about 15 minutes next time before flipping on to a plate. The sugar ran all over the place. I did not have raisins on hand but I did use dried currants, which were good as well. I think I will cut down the cinnamon in the dough just a little bit, maybe add it to the sugar/butter to go on the outside instead? This did not last long in my house. My husband is an addict when it comes to sticky buns/sweet rolls!!

Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2013
This was really delicious. Loved it and will make again. Added some mustard and a little garlic powder and thyme. I cut down on the eggs and the mayo. Thanks for sharing this great recipe!

Fruity Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
Very good! A very moist cake. It was eaten quickly. I altered it of course because my picky family does not enjoy coconut or nuts. I subbed one cup of applesauce for oil and just put in 1/2 cup of oil. I added some chopped frozen strawberries and we liked that. I did cut down the sugar 1/2 cup in the batter but sprinkled some powdered sugar on the top of the cake. We loved all the fruit in it. It was a hit! Will make again!

Adrienne's Overnight Barbecued Beef Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
This was a winner. My husband said he loved it more than pork BBQ in the crock pot with the BBQ sauce added later. So I'm thinking I will use this recipe and add pork instead of beef next time. I think I will omit the 1/2 cup of water since it was not really needed. I did not use the cornstarch but I did drain off 2 cups of the liquid and froze it to use somewhere else in another recipe! So delicious! We don't come across 5 star recipes very often, so I have to thank you for a great recipe!

Blueberry Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Great recipe! How do I know?! This did not last in my house more than two days. I caught my husband eating this cake over the cake container without a plate (ya, I know, what a pig!) I did add a little more flour to the topping because I wanted it to be a little more crumbley (is that a word?) but that is the only change I made. I did use frozen blueberries only because if I left them in full view in the fridge they wouldn't be there for me to make this cake! So I hoarded them in the freezer just for this recipe. Excellent recipe. It's a keeper.

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2013
These were a hit! They were stealing them before dinner time. I forgot to flatten them a bit, so they came out round and more like rolls, but they tasted so good, no one complained!

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2013
I also made this in the crock pot with Guiness and it came out very well. I put it on low for about 8 hours and it was perfect. Can't say whether or not the brown sugar made a difference or not? Next time I will probably just skip the sugar.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2013
Hands down - best chicken ever. The spices are perfect and slow cooking for 5 hours in the 250 degree oven is the way to go. The smell of the chicken was driving me bananas for five hours. I couldn't wait to eat! I will try this on just plain chicken breasts and cook for less time when I'm in a hurry on a weeknight sometime-- I think the spice combo is really good.

So good. And also good with a sprinkle of balsalmic vinegar on it before it goes in the oven. YUMMY.

Italian Chicken Skillet

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2013
This was very good! Added in onions, green peppers and mushrooms, and only used half the amount of chicken, cut into chunks. Easy and quick. I had to add water to this in order for the pasta to cook properly, but once it was done the dish was perfect.

Herb Roasted Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2013
Very good but yeah, I tripled the seasonings. Slow roasted the pork, poured out the drippings and then poured over the glaze-- it reduced itself into a sticky goodness at the bottom of the pan I used for sauce. Not enough for the leftovers so I had to make more. Instead of water in the glaze I used cranberry juice, half the amount of sugar, and half balsalmic/half apple vinegar. Really yummy! I also cut up garlic and placed clove slivers into slits in the meat while it roasted. So delicious. I will be making this again. My family went nuts over it. Thanks for making me look like a gormet chef. :-)

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2014
My husband and I love this recipe. It has now become one of our favorites. I have made it several different ways with different ingredients, so you can get really creative! Navy beans, potatoes, carrots, corn, ham, onions, celery, mushrooms, are mostly our favorite way to have it. I will try chicken next. I use half and half instead of milk, and I use instant potato flakes to help thicken at the end. Delicious! Thank you!

This was good and easy, but for two quarts of tea I used three regular tea bags, added one cup of sugar and 1/3 cup lemon juice. Perfect!
