Delicious Black Bean Burritos

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
This is a very dry recipe, but the taste is good. Next time I will try to add sour cream instead of cream cheese, and see if it comes out less dry. Enjoy the taste, easy to make, but not a fan of the dryness.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
I make this every single Christmas! It is wonderful as is-- I change nothing. It is sweet, moist, delicious and a hit in my family! This also makes a great Teacher's Gift for Christmas. Wrap it beautifully in some cellophane, finish off with a bow and voila! instant gift. Recommend!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
This is wonderful!! My kids beg me to make this-- it is truly an unforgettable taste and experience. Very, very easy to make, and it tastes wonderful! After I'm done making it, I put it on the kitchen table on some Pam sprayed wax paper, and my 4 elementary-aged children swirl around the table and attack this Caramel Popcorn until gone. Recommend!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
I've made this at least a dozen times over the years! It is fantastic!! I double the recipe, and it makes 2 9x13 pyrex pans of pumpkin bread. It tastes even better after a day or so! This is a moist, delicious, rich bread! I also put this in my kids' lunches as a dessert for school, and they are thrilled-- recommend!!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
I've made this 3 or 4 times, and it is quite good! Very down home, comfort style sort of food. I always add mixed vegetables, a whole onion, and I season the chicken before putting it in the crockpot-- don't over salt it! Paprika is a must! I also put chicken broth at the bottom of the crockpot before laying in my chicken, and once I'm done adding in all of my ingredients, I cover with some more chicken broth. It is lovely and my kids truly enjoy it, as did my husband!! Recommend!

Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
Usually my husband and I just whisk together the turkey drippings with some flour, and voila! deliciousness! However, this past Thanksgiving I decided to try something different, and unfortunately, it was this recipe. I don't enjoy the taste of canned cream soup all that much, and especially not in such a concentrated form.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
Excellent! I didn't have chili beans, so I subbed canned pinto beans. I threw in 28 oz of diced tomatoes instead of 20 oz, and tossed in extra seasoning-- chill powder, garlic powder and cumin. I also put in about 1/2 cup of salsa and several jalapeno slices for that extra kick! I set it on low at 11 a.m. and by 7 p.m. it was ready to go! I served it over spanish rice, and instead of spoons we used homemade tortilla chips drizzled with salt-- divine!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
This was good, but where was the zucchini flavor? The zucchini was totally shot down by the sweet flavor. While the bread was good, I wanted more of that zucchini flavor, so next time I will double the amount of zucchini and cut back on the amount of sugar.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
If you love chocolate, and don't mind the fat and caloric overload, have at it! It was good, but not fabulous. Extremely chocolaty, rich, oily, and dense. Nothing exceptional, but it was decent. Would I make it again? Maybe, but doubtful.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
Absolutely moist, sweet, and delicious! I did not modify the recipe, and it came out fabulous! If you do not like sweet, cornbread, steer very clear, but if you do love sweet cornbread, make this!

World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
Absolutely divine! I follow the recipe exactly, only I fry up Italian sausage in the pan along with 1 whole bell pepper and onion (chopped) and once it comes to a boil, I toss it in my crockpot and let it slow cook for 5+ hours-- delish! I use this sauce recipe for the Baked Ziti recipe and just regular pasta dish. Recommend!

Broccoli Beef I

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! This was not a traditional, asian flavored, broccoli and beef. This was a horribly bland, flour-like, and gravy over broccoli and beef.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2003
You might like this rice if you are unfamiliar with true, authentic mexican rice; however, if you are familiar with real mexican rice, you will NOT like this at all. This recipe is so bland-- so bland.

Gerry's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2003
Although this entree **did** take a lot of time to prepare, the ending result was truly authentic and fabulous. This is better than anything you would taste in a restaurant. I really recommend that you try this one-- you will not be sorry in the least. :) Overally grade: A+++
