The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
I really can't believe that anyone would think these are not sweet enough. Maybe (and it's a big maybe) if you plan to not put anything sugary on them by way of decoration, but if you plan to ice, frost, or sprinkle them they are PLENTY sweet as is. Overall I thought this recipe was pretty good, but not a revelation. I chilled the dough and had no problems handling it. The first pan I made I rolled out with powdered sugar instead of flour as some suggested--these were very tasty on their own but way too sweet to put icing on top of. For the next batches I used flour instead. Also, as some have said, these cookies puff up a lot so I started to roll them very thin so that they would hold their shape a little better, which worked well even if I liked the consistency of the thicker cookies better.

Morning Glory Muffins I
I made some incredibly delicious muffins based on this recipe, but did do quite a few tweaks. As others have said there is way too much sugar--I reduced it to 1 cup and could definitely stand to reduce it more. I didn't have wheat germ but I used wheat bran and just put it in the batter along with the walnuts. Instead of apple butter I finely grated one apple and added that (with juice) to the batter, and used about 1/4 cup melted coconut oil as well. I just used 2 whole eggs instead of 1 egg and 2 whites and 1 cup whole wheat and 1 cup white flour. I also added a little nutmeg, upped the cinnamon, and left out the raisins. I only have a 12 muffin tin so mine were quite large. Will definitely be making them again though!

Roasted Carrot and Cauliflower Curried Soup
Great recipe, a really nice and tasty soup with a fairly simple ingredient list. I doubled the garlic and added a sprinkle of garam masala when roasting the vegetables, which only roasted for about 25 minutes total. I blended it in my regular blender because I don't have an immersive one and I wanted it smoother than a potato masher could get it. Great find, will definitely make this again!
