Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
These were incredible! I am an average baker, and these turned out perfect and puffed with the recipe just as is. I made half in the recommended tablespoon size, and half extra large. To make them extra special, I melted some dark chocolate and dunked the tops and I also put a thin smear of strawberry rhubarb jam on the inside along with the pudding. Yum! I will definitely be making these again soon.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
Made these this morning following recipe to the tee, and I must say, they are the best pancakes I've ever tasted. The only alteration I would make is to increase the recipe yield---8 pancakes for 4 people isn't nearly enough!!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
I agree with other reviewers, that these cookies are delicious, but not 'moist' as the recipe promises. You can definitely skip the sugar sprinkled on top if you make them according to the recipe, and no need to chill the dough. The second time I made these and added 1/4 cup of molasses and sprinkled sugar on top to counteract they bitterness--they came out much more chewy and moist.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
These are amazing! Very impressive, no-fail dish to make for family. No need to tie up the rolls or toothpick them as long as you carefully lay them in your pan. I added several cloves of garlic, a tbsp. of oregano, and dash of red pepper flakes to the beef mixture, and instead of the tomato sauce I used a can of stewed tomatoes blended with beef stock. Yummos!

Adrienne's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
I make these all the time, and have thrown shredded cabbage and carrots in as well. Good variations on the seasoning are including a few cloves of garlic, red pepper flakes, and/or coriander. I use whatever vinegar I have on hand--usually apple cider vinegar for a bit of sweetness mixed with either regular white or rice vinegar. I tend to keep them for a week or two in some tupperware in the fridge and use whenever I want a mild pickle addition to a dish. You can't really go wrong with these!

Easy Pie Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
Easiest crust ever, and absolutely delicious for chicken pot pie. I followed one reviewer's advice and covered the bottom of the pan with saran wrap so I could easily flip it over to make the top crust, and let it bake with the filling inside. (Still pre-cooked the bottom crust.)

The Original All-Bran® Muffins

Reviewed: May 7, 2012
Perfect muffin. Dense but crunchy on top and moist inside life a muffin should be. Added a splash of molasses, vanilla extract, and a sprinkle each of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Classic Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
Truly the most perfect cinnamon roll, ever. The dough is so light and fluffy, and they impress guests without too much work to prepare. I use a cream cheese icing: equal parts butter and cream cheese, splash of milk, and a cup or two of powdered sugar to taste. I also double the cinnamon sugar filling as these have a pretty light flavor otherwise. Other variations--adding a sprinkle of ground walnuts or pecans gives it even better texture. Yum! A pan of these never lasts long.
