Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: May 26, 2015
Well, I wouldn't exactly call it "unbelievable chicken", but it wasn't bad. It's not the best marinated grilled chicken I have ever had and it's not the worst. I would say it is average as far as marinating and grilling the chicken.

This is an excellent chocolate pie and quick to make with the exception that I always make my own pie crust.

Restaurant Style Beef and Broccoli

Made it for dinner tonight and all I have to say is that a Chinese restaurant would be jealous. I've never gotten anything this good in a Chinese restaurant.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Really, really good!. It would even be good without chicken in it. I'll be making it again.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
This is really, really good, but I think what I did made it good. I made my own pie crust and I used soup vegetables I found in the frozen food dept. The recipe itself is a good start to customize it for yourself.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2010
Excellent recipe, but 1 cup of raisins is not enough. I used 2 cups and it was perfect for this size recipe. Also I found it easier to roll the dough into 3 separate pieces instead of one large one. I've done it both ways. Three is easier to work with and tuck in the ends of the bread.

Light Oat Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2010
This is very good bread and easy to make. I used 1/2 cup whole wheat flour in place of all-purpose. I used the dough setting on my bread maker and put the bread in my own bread pans to bake in the oven. For this it takes 2 bread pans. For a little extra added touch sprinkle some rolled oats on top before you bake it in the oven.

It is really good! How I decide if a recipe is good is if I want to make it again and I will this one.

Fresh Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
I haven't made this recipe yet, but it sounds delicious and I will make it when I go to the store for brocolli. Here's something that helps me. I cut the raw bacon into small pieces with scissors before I fry it. Doing it like that you get nice crunchy small pieces instead of crumbling it after where the pieces are different sizes and not so crunchy.

Really good and quick to make. You should bypass all those boxed rice dishes and this one yourself.

Strawberry Cake from Scratch

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
This may be the best cake I've ever made. I did a couple of things different. I used buttermilk in place of regular milk. It's strawberry season here so I used fresh strawberries instead of frozen. I made a fresh strawberry filling for the cake and I used the frosting recipe from here to frost it. It's the cream cheese/whipped cream frosting. Wow is it ever good and the cake is so beautiful I had to take pictures of it.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
Very good recipe, but what worked for me was to brown the roast in a brazer, then add the other ingredients to the pan. Put the lid on and roast it in the oven at 300 degrees for about 7 or 8 hours. This way it does not get as watery as it does in the slow cooker.

Really delicious and a nice change from ordinary salads. I had a honey crisp apple to use in the salad and that made it even more delicious!

Cinnamon Raisin Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Really an excellent recipe. I made the recipe this very day and the smell is still wafting through the house. I like that it makes 2 loaves. Well worth making. It beats all the commerical Cinnamon Raisin bread to pieces.

Baked Potato Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2006
Is the bacon cooked or not? The recipe doesn't say. I think it is cooked before being added to the soup, but not saying to cook or not cook the bacon might be a problem for a beginner cook who wanted to make a nice soup recipe.
