One Dish Chicken and Rice Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2014
definitely use broth in place of water, add the worcestershire sauce, and everything else the most helpful review said. I used a wild rice mix and added a can of mushrooms and it was SOOOO GOOD!!!!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
So good and SOOOO easy!!!! I make this all the time with all of the leftover ugly apples that don't get eaten. Leave the skins on for fiber & nutrition, no one will ever even know!!! Also, I use splenda & pumpkin pie spice in mine. Love it.

Stuffed Pepper Soup IV

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
Ok, I know you shouldn't really rate recipes when you change them, but these were rather minor tweaks because I was using what I had on hand and I had read a few other reviews. I really like this recipe a lot! It's even better the next day! What I changed was I used a large can of crushed tomatoes in place of the diced (all I had) and I think I like that a lot better. Since it was so tomatoey with that, I only used half the tomato sauce. Along with the spices indicated, I added a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce (because it makes everything better!!) and I added about a TBS or less of brown sugar. I really think the brown sugar really rounded out the flavor perfectly. Next time I make this (and there will be a next time!) I think I'll add another pepper, and maybe try quinoa in place of the rice. Can't hurt right?

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2012
very good!!!! I thought I had green chils's (I always have those!!!) but I didn't. So I made do with a similar sized can of chile verde and I have to say it was a FANTASTIC substitution. Other than that, followed it to a T. Highly recommended. Oh, I used corn tortillas too... personal preference there.

Cinnamon Sugar Crisps

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2012
So easy and YUMMY!!! So I did my first batch using splenda, and they are, eh, ok, but nothing to really satisfy. The second batch I did half sugar and half splenda and they were soooooo much better! I would suggest not using splenda at all! Real sugar just adds amazing texture and depth of flavor that splenda just can't. The splenda kind is ok,but the sugar kind is WOW!

Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
I did not care for this. I followed the recipe to a T even. I agree the chicken is very bland and flavorless, I think it needs to be seasoned before being cooked or that everything needs to be mixed up well before baking. Also, I did not care for the flavor the onion soup mix left. Now I have an entire casserole pan to eat and it is not very good. Not sure why everyone is raving about this one. :( I was really disappointed.

Fast and Delicious Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
oh man this is soooo good!!! I left out the ham because I'm trying to eat less meat, but other than that I almost follow this to the letter :). Left out the cheese entirely, I added a splash of lime juice, some fresh cilantro and diced fresh tomatoes (a must!!!!) and I left out the oil. I cooked everything minus sour cream, tomatoes and cilantro together and pureed it and then added the tomato & cilantro. Garnish with a dab of FF sour cream at serving. Lick the bowl good!!!! Cheap and healthy and DEEEEELISH!!! Totally worth your time and a smidge of effort (but not a ton).

Mock Coconut Pie (Spaghetti Squash Pie)

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
I was realllllyyyy nervous because I added the squash straight from the oven and it seemed to make the egg mixture go runny. Then I thought I added too much squash (I made a mess). BUT it turned out fine!!!! I agree, cut up your squash, maybe drain off the liquid and let it cool after you cook. But it's great!!!! I added 1/4 C coconut just for fun too. Also, this only used up about 1/4 of the squash I have.

Onion, Garlic, Cheese Bread

EXCELLENT! Big fluffy bread with FANTASTIC flavor and smells delicious while baking. I did add extra garlic (1 tsp of the jarred kind) and that's all I changed, but you can never have too much garlic.... ever.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
I think I had my hopes set too high expecting this to turn out like our loacal restaurants. While it is VERY good, it still doesn't hold candle to the local place. It's definitely fun to try, but for all that work I think I'll just go enjoy the real McCoy next time :).

Really good! Makes a LOT so make sure you don't have leftovers because it doesn't keep more than a day or so in the fridge. We had so much I ended up wasting a ton of it :(. Used craisins and I liked that a lot too :)

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
I really liked this soup! It's different but good! I added some red potatoes and chicken broth per suggestions. And then I added a little cream to fool my husband into thinking it was more of a creamy soup. I also used canned beans to save time. It was better the next day! Very tasty and easy!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
My husband really liked this but I was not a fan. The sides started burning about 2 hours into cooking, even on the lowest setting, not sure if it's my crock pots fault or not though. I don't plan on making this one again.
