Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies

So happy I found this recipe. I have never made PB cookies with shortening before so I was scared to use a full cup. I used a half a cup of butter and half a cup of shortening. Tasted great. The filling was perfect. Someone said 3 cups of confectioners sugar was too much and they are crazy that is what makes the filling thick enough to put between the cookies. I actually added a TB of cocoa to add a little flavour. It tasted great but it would have tasted fine without. I am going to have fun experimenting with the filling :D

Chef John's Chicken and Biscuits

I am just so happy I found and tried this recipe. It is flavourful and delicious. A warning to those about to make it it is a tad bit spicey. I am not one for spicey foods but I still loved this. Next time I will tone it down with the peppers. I think it is a must to use all the spices otherwise you will lose some of the flavor. I cannot wait to make this again. I should mention I don't own a dutch oven so those like me can use a stock pot and then throw it all in a roaster when it is time to place in the oven. Works just the same. Thanks Chef John for another great recipe!

Chocolate Zucchini Bread I

How can you not LOVE this. Absolutely amazing and I will be making this again very soon. Pumpkin bread used to be my fav. bread but this just took first place! I barely changed the recipe. I added 1 1/2 overriped bananas and WOW am I ever happy I did. Recipe would have been great without it but if you ever get a chance add the banana is adds a little extra something. For those baking with Zucchini for the first time you MUST squeeze the shredded zucchini dry or the loaf will be too moist.

Blueberry Waffles with Fast Blueberry Sauce

I haven't tried the sauce but I tried the waffles. I must admit I was skeptical at first. I have been making waffles for years but never with blueberries. I did a few things differently. Iused 4 eggs. I seperated my yolk from the milk and blended the yolk until lemon coloured then added the ingredients. 1TB of Vanilla. I blended the egg whites until stiff peaks. I also added 2/3 C of buttermilk and 1 1/4C of regular milk. The texture seemed wierd when everything is mixed but as you let it sit it does work out in the end. I was impressed with the waffles and I will use this again!

Easy PHILLY OREO Cheesecake

Absolutely delicious! I don't think I could have made a better cheesecake then this. I am not a huge fan of cheesecake but I just LOVED this. Not a huge overwhelming richness that cheesecake usually has which is probably why I loved this so much. You could easily serve this with a whipped topping and not have it be too sweet. I personally followed the recipe to the T and had no issues which is funny how others had so many issues. I was afraid of making this because of all the reviews and alterations. I am glad I made this and I will do so again!

Blueberry Crisp II

You have to give this recipe the credit it so deserves. Mayo in a dessert was scary but wow you won't even know it is in there. I used fresh mixed berries. When I think of a crisp I think of brown sugar for some reason. Because of that I did sprinkled some in my topping. This recipe tasted great. You could go with or without the brown sugar and it would taste just as good. Someone said they doubled the topping depending on the texture you are going for that would make for an interesting crisp that I will try next time.

Canada Day Nanaimo Bar Cheesecake

Such a wonderful recipe to have. Tastes wonderful and pretty easy to make. Follow the recipe exactly and you get a delicious dessert. I couldn't find heavy cream anywhere so I used whipping cream and it turn out pretty good.

Blarney Stones

Wow I am very impressed with this dessert. It is hard to believe something so simple can taste so good. I went completely with the recipe. After trying it you can have fun with different ingredients but it tastes just fine how it is. It is nice with a cold glass of milk. My husband is in love with this recipe. It is a little messy kind of like rice krispie treats are BUT very easy to clean up! Thank you for this recipe I quite enjoyed it!

Tasted wonderful. My husband is in love with these. Tried the cinn. sugar and coase salt both tasted great. Can't wait to make these again. I also made these with pizza sauce and cheese on top Yum Also a good work out just rolling the dough ;)

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Turned out perfect! Best thing about this recipe is you can used cheddar sticks or mozza cheddar twisty sticks. Yes it is messy but that is because of the egg mixture but the taste is worth it!

Wonderful recipe. I love it as is. I put the toppings on just before I serve them. At times I don't put the whip topping on just because it may be too sweet other then that it is a delicious choice.

Garlic-Ginger Chicken Wings

Just another fantastic recipe from Chef John. It was easy to make. For those who had problems with their chicken sticking to the pan here is some advice. First off make sure your chicken is well coated with the flour. I put 1.5 cups of flour because I would rather have too much flour then not enough. Second spray your pans very well it will help when you turn your chicken over. This recipe was delicious. Thanks Chef John.

Cheese Fondue

I didn't read the reviews until after i had already made this and served it. It tasted great so no complaints there. My fondue did start to clump but only when I started to add the flour. I did not add 2 TBL spoons only 1 when I realized it was clumping. Next time I will try lemon juice and hopefully it works out better. Other then that it tasted fine.
