Oven Roasted Greek Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2013
These potatoes were excellent. I used 5 lbs regular size Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and sliced thick and place them in a 9 x 13 baking dish. I also used more garlic than called for, just because we like it. I baked them for 1 1/2 hours covered with foil and then took the foil off for the last 1/2 hour. I didn't add the water. The lemon and zest made them taste so fresh. I served them with chicken, but these would be excellent with fish or shish kabobs on the grill. We'll definitely be having these again.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
I made these at Christmas and now it's May and they are STILL talking about them. My family thought it was the best dessert they ever ate! And, so easy to make and have ready to pop into the oven when ready for dessert. I'll be making this again!

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
Excellent recipe. My family loved it at Easter - served as an appetizer. After dinner, they were still going back for more. They took the small amount that was left home with them!

Reuben Dip

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
this was a hit at the office party. Everyone loved it. I served is with party-size rye bread and Rye Triscuits. I mixed it together in a 4 qt. crockpot and turned it on when I got to the office and it was ready for lunch.

Chef John's Sausage & Shrimp Jambalaya

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
The recipe was made as written except turkey sausage was used and hot sauce instead of red pepper. EXCELLENT! We will be making this again. Easy and tasty!

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2012
Excellent! Followed the recipe exactly. Next time I will add coffee instead of water to try it. Creamy, just like a truffle. It is very rich so the serving size can be small. Served with whipped cream and strawberries. I'll be making this one again!

Caribbean Slaw

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
This slaw turned out to be a perfect side for our Caribbean Night dinner. I made it exactly as the recipe stated and wouldn't change anything. I didn't find it dry. It was great the next day, too. Thanks for a fresh recipe!

Seven-Up® Cake II

Reviewed: May 12, 2012
This cake is a winner! I've been making it for years. Followed the recipe exactly except I added 2 tsp vanilla and 2 tsp lemon extract. Beautiful cake that always gets rave reviews. A sugar glaze is an excellent choice instead of powdered sugar.

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
This was a good macaroni and cheese. I used 1/2 cheddar and 1/2 Velveeta. It probably needed more milk because it started to get heavy and dry out by the time we ate. My family thought it was rich, but that said, there wasn't any left over! I'll probably make it again, but add more milk.

Italian Bread Salad

Made this as a last minute side dish for Christmas dinner. It was a hit! Didn't have any fresh basil, but it didn't seem to matter. There wasn't any left!

Tiramisu Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
Made this recipe for Christmas dinner. The crust and cheesecake turned out perfectly. I took other reviewers advice and heavily buttered the side of my springform pan and it was PERFECT. No crack. I followed the recipe exactly with the exception of adding 6 tbsp. of Kahlua to the crust and 6 tbsp to the filling. My family that it had a strong alcohol taste. I thought it was fine. I'll probably make it again, but leave out the extra Kahlua.

Scalloped Pineapple

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
Made it for Christmas dinner. It was very sweet. Had a nice flavor, but was more like a dessert than a side dish with ham. My family didn't really care for it. I probably won't be making it again.

Winner at the pot luck at work. Everyone asked me to bring it every time we have a get together. Brought home a empty dish! I made the guacamole by Bob Cody. It made an excellent addition. Quick and easy! Delicious!

Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
Loved the crust on the meat. I added potatoes and carrots and like other reviewed said, the meat was not done in the time recommended. I removed the meat and cooked it another hour - separately. Then, added it back to the original pan and warmed everything up. Wonderful dinner for a Sunday afternoon. I'll definitely make it again.

Cheesy Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
This soup was a hit! We made a few changes just because of lack of or availablity of ingredients. We sauteed some celery and sliced mushrooms with the onion. Instead of cooking in water, we added chicken broth instead. And, since we didn't have half & half, we used 2% milk. We also used a cup of shredded cheddar and a 1/2 block of velvetta since the other readers suggested it. My husband said that this is the best soup that he ever ate. Restaurant quality! We'll definitely make it again. Thanks so much for a great recipe.

Sweet and Crunchy Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2007
This a is family favorite. Makes a lot. Perfect when you don't want to use mayonnaise in hot weather. It there's any left, it's wonderful the next day. I made it exactly as listed, but I did soak my noodles and we like it that way. There's plenty of crunch in the cole slaw mix and water chestnuts.
