Atlantic Corn Chowder

Corn Chowder I

Very good, but it tasted like it needed something. Some type of herb, maybe rosemary or something similar. Also, next time I would add cubes of ham or more than a pound of bacon. Otherwise very yummy!

Cauliflower-Cheese Soup

Even though it always bothers me when people say "Oh I loved it!" yet they made a bunch of changes, I'm going to do something similar. I added extra potatoes (on accident; I peeled too many), added extra cheese (I LOVE CHEESE), and cooked the vegetables for some extra time because I don't like to chew my soup. It was so cheesy and excellent!

Spinach and Tortellini Salad

I sadly realized that I really don't care for tortellini while eating this (maybe it was just the brand?) but otherwise the flavor was unique and delicious. My husband ate the second half of the salad the next day for lunch and loved it!

Easy Sugar Cookies

All I can say is YUM! I'm so skeptical about sugar cookies, but I was craving some sweets and I didn't have any chocolate chips. These went way beyond my expectations, and I'm going to give the recipe to my mom. They were excellent!

Potato Dumplings with Bacon and Onions

These are SO yummy and flavorful. Really not too difficult, just a little time consuming as mentioned. They're not exactly for someone on a low fat or "healthy" diet, but they're an excellent addition to any type of warm, home cooked meal.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

This was the first recipe I used off Allrecipes, and I've been making it for almost a year and a half now! It's excellent; I don't make any changes other than to use more cheese. Thanks for a great recipe! Even my husband (who DESPISES broccoli) loves it. =)

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Very yummy! I used only 2.5 cups of flour and they turned out perfect. They started to feel a little dry so I didn't add the last half cup. Other than that, they're excellent! I would recommend using plenty of actual vanilla though, not the fake extract. Yum!

Salsa Chicken

Yum! I used the "Taco Seasoning I" recipe for the taco seasoning and use homemade salsa and it was AWESOME with this. I will definitely make this again. We cut it up and put it in tortillas with avocado and sour cream - YUM! Thanks for a great easy recipe!

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

This chili was AMAZING! My picky husband who doesn't even like to hear the word "vegetarian" just loved this chili. He actually ate the entire pot except for one bowl (I ate that one) in about a week. Full of healthy, fiery ingredients and packed with flavor!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I've made these about 10 times now, and I was looking at the recipe to make them tonight and realized I needed to rate them! They're delicously awesome and amazing, and they can be altered in many ways safely. (i.e. I use wheat flour, chocolate pudding mix, and Smart Balance instead of butter and they're AMAZING.)

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

This soup was absolutely amazing! I added extra beef bouillon for a more beefy flavor, and it turned out really nicely. This soup is even better the next day, too!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Yum! I love this recipe. It is easy to follow and easily customizable. I always look forward to making this pot pie. I typically add some sage, thyme, and minced fresh garlic to the vegetables as they simmer.

Miso Soup

Yum! My husband and I first had miso soup a few weeks ago at a new Japanese restaurant, and we decided to see about making some. This was very easy, although the ingredients took a little bit of work to find (and miso is expensive!) My husband loved this soup - he called it chicken noodle soup for grown-ups. Excellent stuff!

Breaded, Fried, Softly Spiced Tofu

Very good! It is a great way to use up tofu if you don't normally have it around and aren't familiar with cooking with it. I used about a half inch of oil to get them closer to deep fried. I also used chicken broth because I'm not a vegan or anything and I dipped them in soy sauce. =) They were great!

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Yum! Perfect pizza crust recipe that is very customizable. The first time I made this I messed up pretty badly and added too much water and then of course had to add more flour to salvage it, and it STILL turned out great. (I just had to let it rise a little longer since there was less yeast.) It's exactly as described - chewy and crispy.

Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

This macaroni was decent. I followed the recipe nearly exactly - I only cut out the use of ham. It was sort of bland, so next time I'll definitely add some mustard and seasonings to kick it up a notch.

Chocolate Walnut Fudge

I followed this recipe exactly; used the 5 oz of evaporated milk and exact directions. However, it turned out the consistency of molasses, even after chilling in the fridge for 24 hours and beating it in my KitchenAid mixer for 20 minutes while it was hot. Great fudge taste, but it sadly never turned into fudge.
