I hated cooking when I was younger. I didn't think I was any good at it, and I found it to be a chore. Now I have grown to love cooking. my confidence has gotten a lot better, and I like to now switch up recipes to make them better for my family and myself.
My favorite things to cook
I love brownies, LOVE them. So I love trying out brownie recipes. I also enjoy baking bread with my bread machine.

Baked Honey Mustard Chicken
This was a wonderful recipe. I ended up using half the paprika as another reviewer suggested, and I used honey dijon mustard. I let the chicken marinate in half the sauce in the refrigerator for several hours. I cooked it covered in foil for the first 40 minutes in my stone baking dish. I then removed the foil and let it cook an extra 10 minutes. It came out moist and flavorful. I will be making this one again!

MMMMM... Brownies
Wow, I will never make boxed brownies again! These were wonderful. I prepared as directed, but did add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (in addition to the 1 1/2 cups melted) and walnuts to the batter. I coated both in a little flour so they wouldn't sink. They were amazing! They have a truly rich chocolate taste with the perfect texture. I love brownies and these are probably the best I have ever had.

Chewy Granola Bars
Yum! These granola bars are so much better than the Quaker Oats granola bars plus a lot healthier. They are soft and chewy, though they aren't the same consistency as the store bought kind. That's okay though because these are so much better. I had my son, niece, and husband all give them a big thumbs up. I made mine with some chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and walnuts that I had leftover from some other baking I had done earlier. I will be making these again!
