Pesto

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
Absolutely beautiful. So worth the effort and money, and you get more than you'd pay for from store-bought pesto.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
I've never made asparagus before, though I've always enjoyed it at restaurants. I'm surprised at how easy it is to make it good! Thanks for this recipe.

Deep South Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
It was so good, I could've become teary-eyed knowing that I made it myself! I could never fry chicken the way I wanted to before this recipe. Out of habit, I added a few onion ring halves on the top of the chicken while they fried; this recipe itself is what made it all come together perfectly. Thanks so much!!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
So Good! Cooking the noodles directly in the chicken water was a new tip for me. I was very impressed. And it'll last my family for days, which is perfect for me because I'm not able to cook every day. Thanks so much!

Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Smash Hit!! This was so amazing - the whole family was impressed. I was even able slice 1/2 inch thick slices of this pork to add to my quick-cup of ramen or Udon noodles. The flavors fit right in!

Smoked Sausage with Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Everyone here loved this main dish! We couldn't find regular Turkey sausage at the store (which was kinda strange) so we used the flavored one that they had (Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage). So nice! I'll be repeating this recipe often in the future.

Chocolate Surprise Cupcakes

So Rich!! I can only eat one of these a day (glad I have my big kids to help me out, lol). But I'm pretty proud of being able to bake these now. Quite ideal for future celebrations and the like. Thanks!

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
A very good main dish. I get the feeling that, the higher quality Dijon mustard you choose to cook this with, the better this recipe would turn out to be. I chose a generic store brand this time around, and having tasted richer Dijons in the past, I can say I look forward to up-scaling this dish next time.

15-Minute Dinner Nachos Supreme

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Thanks for this recipe! I get the feeling that this recipe would've worked out better for me if I had literally used "instant" rice instead of regular rice. (lesson learned. :P )

Caramelized Red Bell Peppers and Onions

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
I added the wine and cooked till evaporated, but it unfortunately overcooked the onion and bell pepper, causing the whole thing to become dark and soggy. 30 minutes seems to be way too long if the vegetables are meant to keep color and stay just a little crisp. Next time I will try only half the amount of vegetables and the the 2-min only saute.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
This is a very handy recipe. I'll have to add more water in next time I use it -- the dough ball was a bit rough and therefore harder to flatten and roll out with my pin. But it still made a very nice crust for my pie filling! Thank you!

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
Well, the flavor / texture of the oats seemed to overpower and get in the way of the fruit smoothie. I really wanted to try it, though, cause I like the idea of adding such a nutritious ingredient to a regular smoothie a lot. Could there be a different way to prepare the oats so that it would blend in more naturally?

Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

Scrumptious, very nice! It was kinda tricky getting them out of the muffin pan, though. Any tips/tricks on that, anyone? Some of pineapple pieces were coming off and such.

Marshmallow Treats

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
For some reason, my Treats didn't turn out as sweet as I expected. I'm not sure if I'd have needed to use more marshmallows or less crispy rice? ... I'll try the 'more marshmallows' first, next time.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2012
I used Chocolate Chunk chips, which actually made the cookies *too* rich baking them at the size the recipe calls for. So I just made the nest batch 2 tsps smaller each dough ball, and it worked out much better! ... but next time, I'll just use regular chips. :P
