Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
Great! Everyone loves them. I've used rapid rise yeast with good results. I usually just toss the ingredients into the bread maker and run the dough cycle (1.5 hrs) and it works fine. I brush with an egg wash to add shine to the finished product. A pain to roll out into pretzel shapes.

Brunch Omelet Torte

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2006
Excellent breakfast/brunch dish. Easy to assemble and make. I made a few adjustments: Instead of onion and potato, I used steamed asparagus that I cooked in the microwave in a dish with a wet paper towel over it. Roll the pastry dough out to the size of your dish. I rolled it out according to the directions and it was awkward trying to fit it over a round dish. I actually cooked this in a round cake pan and it turned out great!

Coffeebar Chai

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
Used this with Vanilla protein powder and milk. Warmed the milk like I would hot cocoa, mixed powder and added the spices. GREAT way to "drink" a meal. I eat a lot of protein and use shakes when I'm tired of chewing all that meat.

Tofu Parmigiana

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
This is the first tofu dish I've ever tried. I liked it and will make it again. I can't seem to get eggplant or chicken parmigiana to taste as I'd like, but this was good.

Italian Bread Baked on a Pizza Stone

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
Good recipe. I rigged an old wine box to be a loaf pan so the loaf does rise flat. Worked great and made for a beautiful loaf of bread. The bread had a bit of an odd aroma but I can get beyond it.

Great combination of spices for good flavor. Finished product seemed a bit chewy but I will definitely try again.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2003
This was excellent and well recieved. I gave it 4 stars because I made a sample with preserves and thought it overwhelmed the overall taste of the dish. I used 1/2 the sugar and used all lt. brown sugar. I also left out the kiwi. People loved it! The chips are great and can be baked at a higher temp for a shorter amount of time. I also used Splenda sugar substitute and cinnamon sugar for a low cal alternative - Awesome! Couldn't tell the difference. By the way I used butter on the chips and Spray Pam. The Pam chips turned out much lighter tasting - which was preferrable for me! Enjoy it - it's great at parties. The suggested serving is right on. I made a double batch for 13 people and it was way to much.

Dijon Crusted Halibut

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2003
Tasted like spicy mustard on fish. Crust not worthy of the price of the fish. Pass on this one.
