Rib Eye Steaks with a Soy and Ginger Marinade

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2003
This recipe is Great ! My husband and I have tried this 4 times now - He actually requested it yesterday, definately a keeper. We don't usually marinade rib eye steaks because they are so tender anyway - but this is a nice change. Excellent Flavor !! And Oh Sooo Tender ! UPDATE - we never use to marinate ribeyes but we use this all the time now - the flavor is so good and it is so tender / just cooking steaks with seasoning just isn't the same. Thank you for sharing this recipe. Awesome !!!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
This recipe Is WONDERFUL !!!. I Made this for dinner last night with garlic cheese bread - It was AWESOME !!! I used 1.5 lb.ground beef.I added the noodles to the meat sauce so it would soak into the noodles.Spray pan with cooking spray.I put half the pasta meat sauce in the pans (I used 2 pans because it made a lot) layered the provolone, sour cream and Mozzarella. Then put the rest of the pasta meat sauce on top and sprinkled with parmesan. Make sure you cover it with foil. I did add extra cheese - I like cheesy. The provolone was kind of hard to slice – next time I will have the deli slice it or buy it already sliced. YUMMY !!!!! (update) I gave this recipe to my sister and she said it was absolutely Wonderful !!! I froze half of it. I took it out of the freezer, put it into a casserole dish and covered with tin foil - baked at 350 for one hour YUMM!!!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe !!!!

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
Excellent recipe !! very good flavor - I did change 2 things - I used 2 cans of cream of chicken & mushroom soup because that is what I had on hand and I also added extra shredded cheese. This was even better the second time. I reheated what was left over in the oven at 350 uncovered. The top was nicely browned and slightly crunchy, potatoes moist, and the flavor was oh so awesome. Love this recipe - Thank you for sharing !!!

Popovers

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
I tried this recipe and another recipe - the other recipe called for 3 eggs - we liked them much better with 2 eggs. I made these in a muffin pan - Turned out fine. Cooked at 450 for 20 minutes - turned it down to 350 and could smell when it was done - I did not pay attention to time - It turned out a bit dark on the outside, But they were good I made these again and baked them for 10 minutes at 450 - then 350 till I could smell them and they looked done - Believe me you can smell when they are done - They turned out GREAT !!!! DON'T over mix them, the batter will be lumpy. Thanks for the recipe. Delicious !!!!

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2003
Football season - I made these today for a snack for watching the game. I used a medium home grown organic tomato and half of a medium onion (dicing extra thin and draining the juice from the tomato, with a little extra cheese and Pillsbury tender flake biscuits (10 Count). I seperated them into threes(When possible). I filled them almost full and had extra filling. I had so much filling I had to make a second batch - it was enough for 48! My mini muffin tin holds 24. Wow they went so quick - tried one - It was Great !!! Awesome recipe my husband loved them !!! He ate so many he was not hungry for dinner (well that and the beer - lol).Thank you for sharing - definately will make them again.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
I made this to take to a shower. I made according to recipe directions except I used 4 ounces of Jalapeno's and 1 1/2 cups of REAL shredded parmesan cheese, added 1 cup cheese to spread and mixed it in and sprinkled the rest on top. I did not use any bread crumbs. I made it in a small crock pot and kept it warm. It was AWESOME !!! Everybody loved it and wanted the recipe. It was completely gone - the dish was empty.I served it with tostitos scoops. So Easy and Sooo yummy !!! Very addicting, now I am making it again this weekend just for us to snack on. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Turkey Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
What a great way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers.I did not use shredded carrots and I put extra gravy with the turkey (heinz roasted turkey gravy from the jar).I used frozen corn and put the rest of my green beans in. I really liked this but I will not use the green beans next time - I forgot to add that you need at least double the gravy the recipe calls for because the stuffing soaks it up.

Slow Cooker Tender and Yummy Round Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2003
What a great recipe - The meat fell apart it was so tender and the gravy was delicious. I doubled the recipe for mushroom soup - 2 cans and 1 cup water (Not onion soup mix)and added a stalk of chopped celery and sliced fresh mushrooms. Also instead of water you can add 1 can of LOW Sodium beef broth. Cooked it on high for 5 hours, adding the carrots(small bag of baby carrots) and potatoes for the last 2 hours. I made fresh bread to suck up the gravy. YUMMY!!!.Thank you for sharing this recipe Katy. I just want to add that I smushed my potatoes before taking the photo - I was so hungry from the smell I almost forgot to take the photo.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Its cold outside and soup always tastes SOOO good when its cold - This is a great recipe !!!! My husband even likes it and he does not usually like or eat soup at all. This soup is awesome !!!! I made beer butt chicken the night before so I used what was left over from that. I saute'd celery, onion, garlic and fresh sliced mushroom before adding the broth (extra broth). I did not have the quick cooking rice so I let it simmer for 25 minutes. I used 2 boxes of rice - uncle bens and rice a roni (both) long grain and wild rice. I used 1 packet of seasoning in the broth and the other packet in the roux. I also used 1 cup heavy cream and 1 cup of 1% milk. This one is a keeper !!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe
