This was Excellent !!! I added the taco seasoning to 2 cans of refried beans the night before.I used all the ingredients but not as much as called for(except the beans).I did not use a whole green pepper or a whole head of lettuce or the whole can of olives.I did use 2 cups of shredded cheese. This was Wonderful!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2007
These were absolutely Wonderful !!!! This was my first time making cheesecake and I think the only reason they turned out so good is because I read the review from LINDSAYMILLERKS.I made regular size muffins because I could not find the mini paper liners. Thank you so much for the tips.Thank you Janice Reesman for sharing this recipe.

Honeyed Ham Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
This Glaze really makes Ham taste Special! It was so quick and easy. The clove really gives it flavor.I was out of minced onion so I used 1 teaspoon of onion powder. I also used 1/2 tsp ground cloves and 1/4 tsp of ginger. This smelled so Wonderful. My husband brought some leftovers for work today and it filled the lunchroom with a extra special aroma - everyone wanted to know what he had. I made this with "Scalloped potatoes and Onions" - a recipe on this site. The potatoes cooked at 325 along with the ham. We had a Great dinner. Delicious !!! Thank you for sharing your recipe Sara

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
I wanted to try this particularly because it doesn't call for any cheese, canned soups,or cream. I liked the fact that this is made with broth - I used 99 percent fat free.I did not change anything. I could not believe the flavor and it was so creamy - YUMM ! I made it with Ham. That was another plus - in the oven at 325 you can make both the potatoes and ham with out having to deal with the temperature differences. I used the "Honeyed Ham Glaze" recipe on this site for my Ham. Wonderful!!! We had a Great dinner. These are the real scalloped potatoes and so Yummy !!! Even better the next day. A keeper for me - Thank you for sharing Dorothy

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2007
My meat turned out very tender but was very stringy and hard to cut(it more like shredded-even against the grain). Good gravy. My husband said he really liked it, but has not touched the leftovers. Flank steak is best on the grill but I thought I would try something different. Over all it was simple and good.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
This recipe Is WONDERFUL !!!. I Made this for dinner last night with garlic cheese bread - It was AWESOME !!! I used 1.5 lb.ground beef.I added the noodles to the meat sauce so it would soak into the noodles.Spray pan with cooking spray.I put half the pasta meat sauce in the pans (I used 2 pans because it made a lot) layered the provolone, sour cream and Mozzarella. Then put the rest of the pasta meat sauce on top and sprinkled with parmesan. Make sure you cover it with foil. I did add extra cheese - I like cheesy. The provolone was kind of hard to slice – next time I will have the deli slice it or buy it already sliced. YUMMY !!!!! (update) I gave this recipe to my sister and she said it was absolutely Wonderful !!! I froze half of it. I took it out of the freezer, put it into a casserole dish and covered with tin foil - baked at 350 for one hour YUMM!!!!! Thank you for sharing your recipe !!!!

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2007
My husband was not looking forward to having this - He said it does not even sound good.I had to bake it longer because he was not ready to eat.I had left over artichoke dip I had made a couple days before and used that. It was so tender with very good flavor. Three times while my husband was eating he said "WOW this is really good".This is one way I would have never thought of to make chicken. Thanks for sharing your recipe

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2007
I don't eat apple butter but wanted to make this for my husband because he does. We bought some from the store (Organic) could not find anything else, and he did not like it at all, he said it was bitter.I made this with Red Delicious apples (6 pounds). I bought a 10 pound bag from Sam's Club - got on the scale and took apples out of the bag and placed them on the counter. When the scale reached 6 pounds over my weight I knew that it was the right amount/instead of guessing.I did use the food processor like suggested. It did taste sweet to me -I would say less sugar. I do not eat it so I can not say.It slow cooked for about 16 hours and my house smelled wonderful!!!!! My husband Loved this and said it was the best he has ever tasted. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Restaurant-Style Hashbrown Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
Excellent recipe !! very good flavor - I did change 2 things - I used 2 cans of cream of chicken & mushroom soup because that is what I had on hand and I also added extra shredded cheese. This was even better the second time. I reheated what was left over in the oven at 350 uncovered. The top was nicely browned and slightly crunchy, potatoes moist, and the flavor was oh so awesome. Love this recipe - Thank you for sharing !!!

Iowa Pork Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
I used thick boneless center cut pork chops.I added the onion to the pork chops as they were almost done browning, for flavor and to carmelize the onions. The pork turned out very tender but I did not like the gravy it made. It was Way to salty.I will Not make this again. I suggest not adding the last 3 ingredients (water-soup mix and worcestershire). The soup itself has enough salt.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
I followed the recipe Exactly. The stuffing was a bit to much- very rich with the cream cheese. It had good flavor though - my husband liked them.If I make them again I would only use half the stuffing - if that much - that way it would have more mushroom taste - Thanks for the recipe

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2006
The first time I tried this - I did it on the grill. I have a very small grill and did not realize it should be covered. I could not do it on my grill because I could not close the lid - The chicken was too tall and well it never cooked. Now I make Beer Butt Chicken in the oven. I put it in my roasing pan, Bake it for 1 1/2 - 2 hours at 350 (don't need to cover it) lol. I also Put in some Potatoes (huge bakers) at the same time (Not in the roasting pan - on the oven rack). I use a funnel to add the butter and spices to the beer in the can. It is better to use warm beer - because when adding melted butter to cold beer it foams up. I bought the can holder for beer butt chicken - It makes it stand up alot easier and stays in place when you Take it out to transport it to the cutting board. YUMM !!! The chicken is browned to perfection and So tender the meat just falls off the bone. It is Awesome!!!! Thankyou so much for the recipe.
