Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
Delicious! I followed other reviews and substituted 3 c flour, 1 T + 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp salt for the self-rising flour and omitted the onion and Italian seasoning. I used Rolling Rock Beer which was just right to my taste. This is a dream recipe. It's every bit as good as the expensive mix I used to buy and so easy. It's eexcellent lightly toasted the next day.

Quick Mix Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2004
This came together so easily with the help of my food processor. (Pulse to cut in the shortening/butter add remaining ingredients and process until it comes together.) It was simple and good. Instead of all shortening I used 1/2 cup real butter and 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening. Also I didn't level off the baking powder so it was more of a heaping 1/4 tsp. Thanks for sharing this. I don't need to look any further for a great spritz recipe.

Hot Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2004
Wonderful...Thank you for sharing this recipe. I've already made it for 2 parties and received rave reviews. I found you can heat it in the oven and transfer it to a crockpot or just heat it in the crockpot. A double recipe fits a 1 quart crockpot perfectly but don't expect leftovers. For ease I served it with thick tortilla chips as another viewer suggested but a sliced baguette would also be good. I made the addition of a couple dashes of hot sauce.

Spicy Shrimp Creole

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2003
Fabulous recipe...especially if you love tomatoes like I do. I did substitute one can diced tomatoes for one can of the crushed tomatoes and threw in a few bell peppers. I may use a little less tabasco or cayenne next time. Delicious with steamed basmati rice.
