Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 17, 2011
Delicious! I used 2 blocks of 1/3 less fat cream cheese and it still turned out creamy and wonderful. The zest of lemon is perfect! I agree with others - reduce sugar to 1/2 cup. Tastes just as great with the reduced sugar.

Lemon-Thyme Cornish Hens

Delicious! The lemon-thyme was perfect! Bird came out juicy. So much flavor and the skin was extra crispy. A definite keeper, thanks for sharing!

Thai Sweet Sticky Rice With Mango (Khao Neeo Mamuang)

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
Oh my goodness! This is fabulous! The only changes I made were reduce the sugar (as others suggested), omit the salt, and omit the tapioca salt. I even used less coconut than called for. I didn't make a sauce to put on top of it. In my personal opinion, you don't even need the extra sauce on top. This recipe tasted almost identical to the sweet sticky rice I have at my favorite local Thai restaurant. This recipe is definitely a keeper! I am so happy that I can now make this delicious dessert at home!

Baked Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2010
I must have done something wrong. I was excited to try this recipe as I love pumpkin bread. It turned out very dense and kind of gooey in consistency. It didn't taste very good either.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
This was very scrumptious! I doubled the recipe with no problems. I was in a rush making this, so I raised the temperature to 375 degrees and baked it for about 20-25 minutes. Turned out excellent. Was a hit at Thanksgiving with the entire family!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
Delicious! I added a little bit of sugar and also some baking powder/baking soda (because I used corn meal flour). I also used just a little less butter/margarine than the recipe called for. Unlike some people, I didn't have a dryness issue. The casserole turned out pretty moist (I didn't add any extra liquid like others suggested). Thanks for the recipe!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
DELICIOUS! The changes I made were that I used only 1 whole egg and then 2 egg whites. I also left out the salt. The pie turned out very good. This recipe is a keeper.

No Bake Pumpkin Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
Pretty good and yummy! It tastes as though it was baked. Only problem that I had was that I had a few white chunks in my pie. I don't believe I scrambled the eggs to cause the chunks. I think the chunks were from the gelatin. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem with the gelatin.

Ma Po Tofu

So delicious! I used ground ginger instead of fresh ginger and bean sauce instead of the fermented black beans. Tasted wonderful with these substitutions! I love this recipe, thanks for sharing!

Simple Turkey Chili

I've made this recipe many times and it is always SO DELICIOUS and VERY easy to make. We love it so much. I always leave out the cayenne pepper when I make it, and the chili still turns out great. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. It is a staple in our family.

Balsamic Roasted Red Potatoes

Tasty! Was worried that the vinegar would make the potatoes too tangy, but they were just fine. Also, didn't have garlic on hand so I substitued garlic powder instead. Turned out great, thank for sharing!!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
Delicious! As others suggested, I added a dash of Worchestershire sauce and put the ketchup/brown sugar layer on top of the meatloaf. I reduced the amount of brown sugar as others recommended. I sprinkled just a small palmful of brown sugar on top of the ketchup & the sweetness turned out just right! I also added finely grated carrots to the meatloaf so we could get more veggies in our diet. Turned out wonderful!

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Tastes pretty good. Instead of French dressing, I substituted Catalina dressing and it turned out well. The dish, however, doesn't look very appetizing - but, looks can be deceiving. Thanks for sharing!

Pumpkin Layer Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
Delicious and so easy to make. Turned out very nicely on the first try. I used one block of "fat free" cream cheese and one block of "1/3 less fat" cream cheese to make it less rich, and the cheesecake still turned out wonderful. Even with less fat and calories, there was still a rich taste. Thanks for a great recipe! Definitely a keeper.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
This was just okay for us - not spectacular but not terrible either. We didn't care too much for the red wine in this dish. I might omit this next time. Also, it didn't look too appetizing when it came out of the slow cooker. But, the pork was tender and we served it with some steamed white rice. Thanks for sharing.

Simple Baked Apples

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Pretty good! I upped the amount of cinnamon, and left out the other spices. I also omitted the raisins and nuts because I didn't have any on hand. I also added 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract - which turned out great. While baking, I covered it with foil to retain moisture, as other reviewers (Christy7795) suggested. All in all, I will make this again. Thanks for sharing!

Vanilla Pumpkin Pie

Delicious and very simple recipe!! We really enjoyed the flavors of this pie. It came out a little too "liquidy" which is the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise - fabulous! Thanks!

Delicious! Real tender meat. Instead of chili sauce, I used ketchup and garlic powder. I also added some canned diced tomatoes because that's the way we like it. Thanks much for sharing!
