Sweet and Savory Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2011
I read other reviews for help and took some of their advice. There are too many steps and you can jump over them and still have a wonderfull receipe. Since I don't read directions well, I patted the pork down first with the dry ingredients and then added Dr. Pepper (I had no root beer). Covered in air tight bag for about 2-3 hours. I did not braize. I put the pork in a large slow cooker, added a little of the Dr. Pepper/dry rub mixture to it along with the added soda pop and whiskey etc,as the directions said. After cooking 6 + hrs, I shredded, add Sweet Baby Ray's and a little of the Pepper liquid. Let's just say I never got to taste it. I was gone before I got out to party to eat any!

Barbecued Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
I used this recipe because we had a brisket we needed to use. Didn't have liquid smoke, so took a chance without it. My husband raises cows and all of us are spoiled by good home-grown beef. This recipe rocked!!! Everyone absolutely loved it.

Butternut and Acorn Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2007
So far, the best acorn soup recipe I have made. I gave it 4 stars only because I have tasted better in resaurants and am striving to find the same to make. This was so easy, I really didn't follow the amounts of anything, only the ingredients. It was yummy.

Green Beans with Almonds

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2006
I was looking for a little something different for my beans and this was it. Easy and quick. My hubby even like them, and he doesn't do veggies well!

Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2004
I made this for my sis (and my) birthday (we're twins) and everyone there loved this. We used Pita chips for dipping. As my daugher said, "This tastes exactly like the Tzatziki we eat at our favorite Greek restaurant." It was wonderful.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Yummy! I halved the recipe like others suggested and added a couple of dashes of celery seed. Best slaw dressing I've tasted and it was so easy to make

Baked Tilapia in Garlic and Olive Oil

Reviewed: May 28, 2004
Not bad. I added sundried tomatoes. I think next time I would saute the onions in olive oil before I added them on the fish. They were a little undercooked.

Tequila Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: May 15, 2004
My husband didn't think the tequila would work in a cocktail sauce, but he was eating his words! Best I have ever tasted. Everyone loved it.
