Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2014
The only bad thing about this pizza is that I couldn't stop eating it! I made half of the pizza a chicken pizza with ranch sauce, grilled chicken veggies and cheese and half of the pizza a deluxe with pizza sauce ,pepperoni, veggies and cheese. They were both fantastic but too my surprise I loved the deluxe better. My husband had no clue that the crust was not a bread crust and enjoyed the pizza as well. I was surprised to see how much water you can squeeze out of the cooked cauliflower and believe it,it is a step you should not omit. Next time I will try to squeeze the cauliflower dryer and bake a little longer so the center gets the same crispiness as the edges. The flavour of the crispy edges were amazing!

Minestrone Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2014
Oh my goodness gracious this is such a good recipe. Not being a fan of tomato based soups I was hesitant to try it but thank goodness I did because I loved it! It was also a big hit with the rest of the family. At first, the smell of the soup was not appealing but as I let it simmer and let all the flavours infuse, the whole house filled with an amazing aroma. I did add a bit more pasta and simmered for a half an hour more, so it was more like a stew than a soup. It was perfect on a cold winter’s night and we ate with gusto! We added some shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream to change it up the next day. So yummy! This is a good soup to have on hand and add to your lunches. I would never get bored of this soup.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
Awesome little cookie. My 5 year old godson kept walking around with this cookie in hand and telling everyone that it was his favourite cookie ever! So easy and quick to make. Made exactly as written. The trick is to freeze the peanut butter cups and then press them in as soon as the cookie comes out of the oven. Little to no cracking. I also used caramel cups because bulk barn only had half if the pb cups. I also used Hersey kisses and put the tips in first and they turned out amazing as well.

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
This recipe got mixed reviews at the Christmas dinner and majority did not care for it. Definitely not my favourite. The cooking time was to long and it was just bland. Adding the gravy to it helped it but still not a recipe I will make again.

Baklava

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
The kids and my sisters went crazy for this dessert..I couldn't even let it cool and the kids were begging me to give them a piece . I made with walnuts and pecans and made exactly as written . I did not know how many layers to do so I ended up with a few extra phyllo sheets so I made rolled ones and bake separate. I cut the rolls into angles before I baked and they turned out perfect and beautiful on my cookie tray.with the layered batch, I did find my top layer ripping when I cut my squares and was a bit frustrated so for next time , I will definitely roll them and than cut them into angles,Way easier and much nicer.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2013
All I have to say is YUM! The whole family loved this soup. even my picky 8 year old went back for second. One thing I added was macaroni to the soup because my daughter does not like chunks of potatoe. She picked out the potatoes and ate the soup and pasta. She absolutly loved it. I also added a bit of broccoli and it still tased fantastic. You can do so much with this soup. P.S this is my first ever review. It was that good..

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2012
These are soooo good! this recipe is amazing and so easy to make. I served if for breakfast for family and friend and they absolutely loved them. I made the rolls the night before and used a stoneware baking pan. I baked in the morning just before our guests came.It is very important to turn them out of the pan as soon as you take them out of the oven. I followed the recipe as written but did not use currents and i did add a bit of vanilla to the milk before I added to the flour. The rolls were moist and soft even the next day.The recipe is perfect and one I will keep making.I forgot the drizzle but was not needed. yummy, yummy, yummy!
