Healthier No Bake Oatmeal Cookies

These are worth it only if you are trying to eat a healthier version of a no-bake; otherwise, go with the original recipe because the applesauce does give it a different taste. For a healthy recipe, however, this is really good.

Ima's Potato Salad

I used celery and onion instead of peas and carrots, but otherwise made the recipe is written. This is the best potato salad recipe I've found so far. Simple but flavorful.

No Sugar Oatmeal Cookies

I made this as written except I used regular skim milk. What a great recipe for something that doesn't have sugar, flour, or egg! I couldn't even tell there wasn't sugar. It is very cake-like, rather than cookie-like, as another reviewer said. You can skip the raisins and use sugar free applesauce to make it completely sugar free.

Healthier Mom's Zucchini Bread

I loved this recipe. Changes I made: I doubled the milk and pureed it with the zucchini in the blender; I used 6 egg whites instead of whole eggs; I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil; I used chocolate coffee creamer instead of milk; I used splenda instead of sugar; I used 4 tsp soda and no baking powder.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

I liked this a lot. It tasted more like a cornmeal crust than a floury crust, and it was pretty heavy. I used a cup of milk accidentally, instead of 2/3 c and it made a very large crust.

Fluffy Canadian Pancakes

I loved these! Yes, they were very egg-y, so don't make them if you like egg-y pancakes. I like them because they are low on flour but still fluffy. I used orange juice instead of milk and added apricots and quick oats.

I liked the texture of this and it rose well and baked well, but it was a little bland. I added shredded carrots to it. I think a lot of cinnamon would help it taste better.

Velvety Pumpkin Soup With Blue Cheese and Bacon

I made a lot of substitutions - beef broth instead of chicken, maple syrup instead of molasses, cinnamon instead of pumpkin pie spice, bacon bits instead of bacon, whole milk instead of half and half. It still turned out great. It's probably the best pumpkin soup I've ever made. I think the molasses/syrup is what gave it the different flavor.

Colombian Ahuyama Soup

I used 1/4 c peanut butter, 3 cups broth, and 1 cup milk and it came out perfect. I didn't want it thin like other reviewers said. I also cut out the butter to get rid of the sodium.

Vanilla Banamango Smoothie

I substituted whole milk for the orange juice in this and it was still waaaay too sugary for my tastes. I would make it again, maybe with coconut milk and honey, and no yogurt or orange juice.
