Chef John's Pumpkin Pancakes

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

I used splenda instead of brown sugar and baked it in a 9-inch pie plate. I also used blueberry jam instead of raspberry. It was pretty easy to make and tasted good so I'll probably make it again.

Tomato and Avocado Salad

Thanks for the recipe. I used yellow mustard and three large roma tomatoes. The recipe calls for what I feel is way too much dressing. I used 1 tbs oil and 3 tbs vinegar and it was perfect.

Curried Hummus

I made this as written, except I reduced the water by 2 tbs. It tastes great, just like curry hummus should. I notice those who gave it bad ratings complained about the curry taste--it's not going to taste like regular hummus, it should taste like curry.

Mashed Potatoes Almondine

Feta and Olive Meatballs

These were really good even dry without sauce! I used 96/4 ground beef, 20 green pimiento-stuffed olives, 6 oz feta, 4 egg whites, 1/2 c diced onion, and dried parsley. I got 44 small meatballs. Using the 96/4 ground beef cut down on the grease that I think the lamb might have produced.

Molasses-Beef Curry

Thanks for the recipe. I used 3 lbs potatoes, which was a little too much, but saying "3 potatoes" in the recipe doesn't tell me much. It would be a lot easier if you would say how many pounds of potatoes you need in the recipe. I also tripled the molasses and used ground beef instead of stew meat.

Thanks, this is a great recipe. I also don't like overly oily food. I used two 1/2 tablespoons when cooking this recipe and it was plenty. I used an 18.4 oz package of chicken. A few more ounces would have beem better.

Midnight Gingersnaps

I made these just as written. Unfortunately, I cooked them too long (longer than the directions called for). They came out very soft but hardened. And I definitely only got half the amount of cookies the recipe called for, even though I made them extremely small. The cookies don't spread. Great flavor, but be careful not to use too much cayenne.
