No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
Thanks! This was easy to make and pretty cheap. I reduced the filling by 25% and it fit my pie crust perfectly. I used splenda instead of sugar and fat free evaporated milk.

Pumpkin Bread Recipe

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
I found this to be very bland. It was edible, but the appearance was pretty ugly, so there's no way I would serve it to guests or bring it to a potluck. I do like the combination of spices because it's different from your typical nutmeg and cinnamon pumpkin bread.

Ginger Pear Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2013
This was good. I substituted butter for the oil and 4 egg whites for the eggs. It just made a really really small loaf.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2013
I made this exactly as written. It's a good base recipe with good texture, but very bland.

Paleo Coconut Walnut Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2013
Thanks, this had a lot more flavor than it sounded like it would. I used olive oil instead of coconut oil and used 1/2 c cashews.

Apple-Stuffed Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2013
Thanks, I added extra butter and used 1 cup dates. I also doubled the cheese.

Apple and Cheddar Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2013
I used 20 ounces chicken and 3 medium-sized apples. I diced the chicken and cooked it in oil on the stove top. My mistake was to use 2 tbs olive oil. WAY too greasy. 1 tsp, as the recipe suggests, would have been better. Overall, the flavor was good.

Ground Beef Yorkshire

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2013
I made this in a 9-inch pie plate. I thought the flavor was okay, but would add more seasonings next time. I added 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and did not have a problem with my dough rising. I think next time I will decrease the flour to 3/4 cup and the milk to 1 cup.

Lo Mein Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2013
I made this as written except I used splenda instead of honey. Great, flavorful, simple recipe. I think this would be good with shrimp added to it as well.

Golden Yam Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2013
I made these as written except I put the batter in a pie plate rather than 9x13 pan because I don't like a thin batter. I used 1 lb sweet potatoes and I cooked and mashed them first.

Chocolate Applesauce Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
This has good flavor, but it was too thin for my taste. Next time I'll make it in a smaller pan. Also, I only had 1/4 c butter and I substituted 1/4 c applesauce, and this didn't seem to hurt the recipe at all.

Mediterranean Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
Half a cup of oil is WAY too much for 12 oz fish, not to mention it's salmon which has it's own fat so you shouldn't really need more than a teaspoon of oil per serving. I found this to be pretty bland, but edible.

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
I made this as written except I used lemon pepper seasoning instead of salt and pepper. I also added melted butter to the salmon separately after it cooked so the butter wouldn't burn in the oven. It had a lot of flavor and is one of the better salmon recipes I've found on this site. Thanks!

Thai Spiced Barbecue Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
I made this as written except I used curry powder instead of paste. It had a strong flavor and would be great over rice or pasta.

Pasta with Italian Sausage and Pumpkin Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
This tasted great. I boiled the onions with the broth, doubled the sour cream, and left the half-and-half out. I also used 1.5 cups shredded Parmesan.

Maple Glazed Sweet Potatoes with Bacon and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
I pureed these instead of roasting them and used bacon bits instead of sliced bacon. I thought it was really good, but a whole bag of bacon bits was not enough and I have a feeling 5 slices of bacon would not have been nearly enough either. This would be good without the maple syrup, for those on a low sugar diet.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
These had a great pumpkin flavor. I doubled the pumpkin, cinnamon, and ginger and added 1 cup milk. I got 16 very large pancakes. They were not very runny even with the extra milk.

Skillet Zucchini

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
These ended up just a big glob of cheese. I suggest baking this in the oven instead of cooking it on the stove stop.

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
I added Worcestershire as other reviewers suggested. I also blended the wet ingredients in the blender before adding them to the meatloaf.
