Elegant Brunch Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
I did not use the mayonnaise recipe, I used sour cream. I like this as a base recipe, but it had too much chicken and cheese. It needed more vegetables. I added 2 stalks of celery but should have used more. I also only used 3/4 c blue cheese and it still had a pretty strong cheese flavor.

Very Old Meatloaf Recipe

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
This was very simple and cheap. Not a ton of flavor, but you can always add seasoning if you like a more flavorful meatloaf.

Green Bean "Almondine" with Garlic and Blue Cheese

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
I used 1 tbs butter and 1 tbs oil. I found the blue cheese to be the perfect amount.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
I cooked a cup of macaroni to serve this over. I should have used 1/2 or 3/4 cup because 1 cup was too much. Great recipe.

Reuben Noodle Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
I used cooked ground beef instead of corned beef and sour cream instead of mayonnaise. Thanks for the great idea.

Spicy Roasted Red Pepper and Feta Hummus

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
This was way too dry and impossible to blend. I had to add olive oil and extra lemon juice just to get it to blend in the blender. Hummus without olive oil is weird anyway . . .

Avocado Shrimp Bisque

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
I made this as written except I pureed the whole thing as other reviewers suggested. I used whole milk and 10 oz avocado. The next time I make it I might puree the half pound of shrimp and then add another half pound that isn't pureed. I definitely did NOT get 12 servings. I got 8 EXTREMELY small bowls.

Antipasto Salad II

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
This is a great recipe, just two problems: 1. It needs pepperoncinis! 2. WAY too much meat and cheese. I cut out half the salami and all of the provolone. I also added half a head of lettuce.

Easy Sweet Potatoes with Kahlua

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2013
I used regular coffee instead of kahlua. I also doubled the nuts and raisins because I didn't think there were enough.

Sonny's Waldorf Turkey Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
I used sour cream instead of mayonnaise and red wine vinegar instead of cider vinegar. I also used chicken instead of turkey. It definitely had a curry flavor! I will definitely make this again. I also got 6 servings out of this, as the recipe states. The only thing I think that would improve it would be more parmesan.

Grilled Tarragon Mustard Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
I used 1 tbs honey instead of 1 teaspoon. I used 20 oz boneless chicken breast tenderloins and fried them in 1.5 tbs olive oil, the tarragon, and half the garlic on the stove. I then used the other tbs of garlic and the rest of the ingredients to make a sauce for the cooked chicken. It turned out well, the perfect amount of sauce for 20 oz chicken.

Wabbit-Approved Carrot Raisin Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
This is a great recipe. Very flavorful with only 4 simple ingredients. Not a fan of the name, however. "Wabbit" is cute when a two-year-old says it, but when adults use baby words it's just annoying!

Chocolate Chip Muffins I

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2013
These turned out really well! I baked it as a loaf of bread at the same temperature, same amount of minutes, instead of as muffins. I added an extra teaspoon of baking powder and used 1/4 c milk and 3/4 c coffee instead of 1 c milk. It rose very well and cooked all the way through without being burnt on the outside. I will definitely make this again.
