Curried Mustard Greens with Kidney Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2013
This was my first time using mustard greens and I will never buy them again. (It was a mistake in the first place.) The greens are so bitter you can't eat the dish. The sauce and beans are good, so maybe another type of green would be better.

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Excellent! Use a deep dish pie crust, make 1 1/2 recipes, use good quality dark choc and top with real whipped cream. I would recommend a stand mixer too!

Kettle Corn

Works great with a popcorn pan. You won't need as much oil. Add 1/4 tsp. salt immediately after popping & toss.

Venison Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
This was an excellent recipe, my family wouldn't quit raving about it. I used Elk, instead of venison, which my dad hunts every year. He, my step-mom, and husband all loved this dish. It's worth the effort that goes into it.

Margarita Cake

Refreshing summer dessert. I left out the liquor and added lemon and lime zest to both the cake and icing. It received rave reviews at my party.

They are very crunchy, so watch your teeth! I added dried cranberries, chopped peanuts, and raisins for extra boost.

Swedish Cured Pork Loin

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
This is an excellent recipe. I thought it was a little salty, so I cut salt content in half and it was great. I've made it on the grill and in the oven, the grill is definitely the choice cooking method! (Good either way though.)

Brisket with BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2005
I made this for guests and they didn't have seconds or say a word. The brisket took longer to cook than the recipe said and still were not fork tender. The sauce was good, but I had to make some revisions to kick it up. I would not make this recipe again.

Santa Fe Rice Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2005
This is great. I add fresh minced garlic to the water before cooking the rice, and I also like to add some chopped cilantro to the dressing.

Pepparkakor I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
I made this recipe because it sounded close to an original I have from a Swedish friend. However, the dough was very hard to work with, it was too wet. The cookies turned out okay, but even though I doubled the spices, they weren't that spicy. I would not make these again. I'm sorry I didn't take the time to convert the recipe from my friend into English measurements!
