Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2014
To reduce cooking time and give more flavour to the cabbage: Boil the chopped cabbage in salt water just until all denté (do not overcook). Leave cabbage separate from the other ingredients. I used a mix of tomato soup/tomato sauce. Cook the onions with the hamburg. Mix remaining ingredients, except cabbage, with the hamburg. Add spices to taste. I layered as follows: Cabbage by itself in the bottom of the pan; top with the other ingredients; top with cheese and broil in the oven until cheese is bubbling. Yummy!

Zucchini Jelly

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2013
Great jam for those with a sweet tooth. I only put 4 cups of sugar for 6 cups of zucchini, and it was delicious. You don't need pectin if using the right quantity of jello: a 6oz box is the large box of jello (170g); the regular box of jello is 85 grams=3oz. If using the smaller box, you will need two boxes to make one recipe.

My husband was skeptical when he saw me add jalapeños to strawberry jam...then he couldn't let go of it! He usually likes plain strawberries with sugar.
