Polish Cabbage Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
Very good. Browned the butter which I think added great flavor. Also, per other reviews, salted the cabbage for about 10 mins. I did add half a sliced yellow onion also soaked in water to take the "sting" out a bit. Used mini penne because they were leftover from previous night's dinner. Thanks for the recipe!!

Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2013
OMG! Eating this right now. Used 3C veggie broth and 1C chix; did not add as much broth back to the pureed toms/pepps to avoid a thickening agent. What a lovely soup!!

Butterscotch Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
Ended up doing 1 1/3C milk and 1/3C oil; also used 3 whole eggs which seemed to work out fine. These were basically the directions on the box. For glaze I put over med heat 4T butter and 1/4C milk, stir to boiling. Remove from heat add 1/4C confectioner sugar and 1C butterscotch chips... liquid gold! Thanks for the recipe.

Ultimate Cranberry Pudding Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
I really enjoyed this cake. Did add 1t vanilla extract and 1/2t nutmeg. I used a different butter sauce recipe to use up ingredients - 1/2c butter, 1/2c evaporated milk, 1/2c sugar (recipe called for 1c), 1/2t cinnamon. Thanks for the recipe... love cranberries!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake IV

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
I thought this was great. I added 1/2t vanilla and 1/4t cinnamon to the batter; also added chopped walnuts to the sugar/cinnamon mixture. I topped it all with Alton Brown's doughtnut glaze. I thought this cake was wonderful. The cake was moist, plenty sweet... delicious! THX for the recipe.

Basic Rye Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
This was a good recipe. I did not use a bread machine, omitted the cocoa and brown sugar. I left the loaf free-form on a cookie sheet... the bread is moist, dense... lovely. THX for the recipe!

Ricotta Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
As cookies, they were OK, keeping in mind I only had enough vanilla for 1T. I upped the sugar to 2C. After scooping out 4 trays of batter, I became impatient and put the rest of the batter in a 7X11 dish, baked at 350 for about 30 mins. I then poked holes in the cake and poured leftover butter sauce on it... Wonderful!! I prefer the cake to the cookies.

Curry Stand Chicken Tikka Masala Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
WOW!I can't say enough good things about this recipe. I did substitute lite coconut milk for heavy cream and a can of diced tomatoes (lightly drained) for the tomato sauce, as it's all I had. I forgot to add the sugar. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Chris!

Irish Dairy Cake

Maybe I screwed something up; it wouldn't be the first time, but I did not care for this. Given all the wonderful, rich (and costly) ingredients, I would not try this again.
