Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
Made this for my neighbor to help out after her husband passed. All her relatives pleaded for the recipe. They said it was by far the best banana cake they ever had.

Meaty Stuffed Pepper Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
Great kid and picky eater friendly recipe. Easy to make and not easy to mess up. I didn't have Italian sausage, so I used breakfast sausage. This was still very yummy. Also, I would highly suggest cutting in half or at least down by a third. I served this to 4 girls ages 10 to 16 and myself and still had leftovers, and I cut the recipe down to half. One change: I would suggest using more rice.

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2012
Perfect, the mustard is key. Otherwise, this is basic. However, less is more sometimes. Just right.

Hamburger, Potato, and Kidney Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2012
Good basic comfort food. I added cheese to the top at the end, a bit of green pepper chopped up, and garlic powder. Also, I didn't layer it but rather mixed it all together letting everything cook a bit in a cast iron dutch oven, beginning of course with hamburger, green pepper, onion and bacon. I didn't want to wait that long is why. Turned out great. Easy and fast too.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
I took the advice from comments and used 1 can cream of chicken soup rinced beans and added the spices. However, I added a few other changes. Not having chicken I used some ground chicken I had by simply frying it up. I also added a can of hominey. Really good soup. It makes a lot though.
