Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2009
I was very pleased with the result of this recipe. It was definitely easy and juicy! I did bake for an hour at 375, just to avoid the smoke from broiling. My husband is not a huge fan of chicken and he liked this as well. Next time I will try this recipe on the grill and try a few more seasonings such as Thyme and chives! Very good recipe AVASEWELL, Thank you.

Cookies 'n' Creme Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2009
This was good. Definitely super easy. Although I would like to mix something else into it next time, because the flavor of the sweetened condensed milk was too prevalent for me. Be sure to break the cookies up by hand so that your fudge does not turn a brownish color. Mine looked great by doing this.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Fantastic basic sauce! I like to use fresh basil (or the refrigerated basil in a tube) instead of dried. The flavor is great. I always add a generous amount of garlic as well. Don't try to cut back the cooking time. The tomatoes will cook down and break up completely to thicken the sauce the longer you cook them. Thanks for the recipe! It is my staple recipe for tomato sauce.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
I was very surprised at how good this soup came out! I did make some changes, such as adding the beef broth - as some of the other reviewers suggested. My husband loved it! I will definitely be making this often! Thank you for the recipe.

Pork and Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
I've been making a recipe similar to this for years. I boil boneless pork spareribs and chopped onion and garlic in enough water to cover. Season only with Salt and Pepper. Add the Potatoes (I only use 2) then Boil. Add the cabbage till done. Stir well to mix some potato with the water to thicken broth a bit. Allows the cabbage flavor to come through. Serve with a bit of lemon juice over rice. yummy!

Grilled Gyro Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
I was surprised how easy and good these turned out! My boyfried was craving a gyro and these really came in handy! The cucumber sauce is delicious. We folded the Pita pockets in half because other people said they fell apart. That seemed to work fine for us. Thank you Theresa!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2004
I thought these brownies were too cocoa-ish and the icing was way too sweet. I was embarrassed to even put them out for a picnic. I won't be making these again.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2004
This was delicious! Thank you for the recipe! I definitely will soak more coffee in each layer of the cake, as someone else mentioned. I was afraid of making it too soggy, but it didn't get that way at all. It looked beautiful, for such little effort! It definitely was a hit at my party!

French Onion Soup III

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2004
Thank you Debbie! I've finally found a French onion soup rich enough for my tastes! I listened to some other reviewers and used 3 cans beef broth, beef bouillon cubes, and more water. I even add more onions! When sautéing the onions, I add a bit of water so that they do not burn to the pan. That way, I can use less margarine. I only use red onions, which are really sweet. Great, just great!

Very good! I used a bit of garlic salt in addition to the cloves, as well as pepper to spice it up more. Great on Sourdough bread! Will make again!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2004
Fantastic! My boyfriend's family is Filipino and this is so close to his Mother's recipe...(Better in my opinion!) I added the brown sugar and ginger as another person mentioned. That way, it cuts some of the salty flavor. For those of you who complained about the smell and said you had to throw the whole chicken away - You either did something wrong, or you just don't like ADOBO chicken!

Bratwurst, Potato and Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2003
I LOVE this soup! I actually made it for dinner for my boyfriends family! What a hit! Now they ask me to make it all the time. I'm not a fan of Swiss cheese, so I use Cooper Sharp instead. Cooper is a wonderful compliment to the bratwurst flavor. This soup is almost a stew. Absolutely great!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2003
Wonderful! This was my first experience with making rice pudding. I loved it!! I must pass on, however, to not be stingy with the milk. I was leery of adding so much milk, because I was afraid it would be watery. Mine came out a bit too thick. Be generous with the milk! It really makes the difference. Thank you!
