Spicy Black Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2015
This recipe is wonderful, only change I made was to use only 3 tablespoons of oil as suggested by others. My husband said it is the best salad he has ever tasted. I think it tastes better on the day it is made. Thank you for the post

So sorry Ms. A, we didn't like this recipe very much, it turned out very dry and I did use ground chicken thighs. Not sure whether it was my fault or the recipe. I followed the recipe as written.

Grilled Salmon II

Fan-tas-tic. I only marinated for 3/4hr as that was all the time I had, I also baked it in the oven at 400C for approx 15 to 20 mins. Thank you for posting - delicious.

Key West Chicken

We enjoy this dish. I used maple syrup instead of honey, added more lime juice and only 2 table spoons of soy sauce. I did it in the oven at 350C for 35 mins. I will try it on the BBQ next time. Thank you Tina. Irene

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
I quite enjoyed this recipe. I would suggest that you do not over the chicken while it is cooking, turn the oven to 400C and only cook for 50 mins, brush with olive oil. This way the chicken and bacon will brown and looks far more appitizing. Thank you Laurie for the recipe.

Sausage Bean Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
I really enjoyed this recipe which is very easy to put together. I used Bratwurst Sausages which I sliced and did not brown first. I couldn't find kidney beans so I used Baked Beans in tomato sauce. For quickness I used frozen hash browns instead of potatoes and I didn't use thyme as I didn't have any. Thank you for this recipe, yummy. Irene

I have given this bread 1 star for flavour, and wow has it got flavour, oooh those garlic's. I am not sure if it was something I did but they came out very rubbery. They are definitely eaten warm/hot.

Chicken Diablo

Wow! this recipe is excellent. It tastes very much like Peri Peri that I tasted in South Africa, I believe peri peri originates from Mozambique. I found it very good without putting the sauce over after it was cooked, but my husband who is a spice freak dowsed it with the sauce and loved it. He then had a cheese sandwich with the left over sauce. Yum this will be cooked often. Thank you.

We loved this recipe, thank you. I made one change - I didn't use meatballs as we don't care for them very much, so I bought Hot Italian Sausage and made them into balls, it was very good.

Jenny's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
This was really, really good. I used Spicey Italian sausages I also dribbled over with the 2 teasps of Hot sauce, there was really no need for that so next time I will use the amount recommended. I didn't have any Chicken broth so boiled the chicken and used the broth made by the chicken with some dried chives and parsley added. I also served limes wedges with the meal and sprinkled this over which gave an excellent flavour, I only had the really small limes so next time will use larger ones or lemon wedges. Thanks so much Jenny will use this again and again. Irene
