BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
I did a 7lb pork butt in the crock pot with a can of beer. Cooked it all day long. Came home, shredded it, mixed it with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, baked it for 30 minutes on a cookie sheet, and YUMM-O! The family asks for it every week!! What a great way to do pulled pork!

Spicy Seafood Shell Appetizers

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Ridiculously easy. I thought when I read the reviews.....Ya right, like I'm going to whip these up before the party. Well, I did just that. I got the frozen little pastry cups (3 pkgs), filled them while still in their plastic holder, put them all on a cookie sheet for transport, got to the party, placed them on the cookie sheet and BAM! What a hit I was!! I think using fresh shrimp and Miracle whip really made this great. A KEEPER!!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Followed some of the reviews.......used only 1T seasoning salt, and added some garlic to the chicken broth. Oh, and tucked the butter between the skin and breast, then "lotioned" the outside with some too! PERFECTION!! Thank you!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
INCREDIBLE!!!!! I used a bag of frozen chicken tenders, and put 2 cans of cream of chicken, 1 can of cream of celery, butter, garlic, and a can of chicken broth into the crockpot. I set it for low, and went to work. After 8 hours on low, I cut 1 pkg of biscuits into quarters, and actually mixed that into the crockpot, re-covered, and left on low for another 90 minutes. It was absolutely perfect!! I had no idea how the biscuits were going to be - they were incredible!

Grilled Swordfish with Rosemary

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This recipe has FINALLY let me cook swordfish at home, that tastes restaurant quality! I followed recipe exact, let it marinade for about 4 hours, and cooked it on my George Foreman grill for 10 minutes. It didn't even need the sauce. It was moist and perfect. Thank you for this recipe!

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
These are incredible! I just made them for a New Year's Eve party tonight. I did use chive and onion cream cheese. I cut a slice out of the jumbo olives, and piped the cheese in with a baggie with the tip cut. I also put the toothpick thru the medium olive, hole facing forward, then thru the body, then into the carrot. Then, I placed the beak. I made them in no time! I can't wait to go to the party! They are adorable!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
This is THE BEST cake recipe I now have! I know it by heart, and don't change a thing. Perfection. I make it in a Bundt pan, and sprinkle confectioner's sugar on the top. Absolutely perfect! I love that it's ready to pop in the oven by the time the oven is preheated. Thanks for sharing.

Eileen's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
This is FANTASTIC!! I needed comfort food for a friend, and boy, did I find it! I followed a few previous suggestions - 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup ranch dsg, omit soup mix, added 1/2 sauted onion, and used 3/4 breadcrumbs. And after the 45 minutes covered, I drained it, and put the glaze of 1/2 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and dash of mustard, and finished cooking for 15 minutes. I am making it again right now! Thank you for a wonderful recipe!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2007
I found this looking for something to take to a cookout. I read all the reviews. It was incredible! I tried to make the chips, but they came out dry. So I served the salsa in waffle cone bowls - BIG hit. And I used blueberries, and two small cans of pineapple tidbits. I get asked to make this often now. I found store chips that work great too - Stacy's brand, cinnamon sugar pita chips.
