All-in-One Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2013
When I started making this I wasn't too sure about it, but it turned out great! I didn't cut everything into cubes, I sliced everything thinnish. Its got a sweet taste to it, I think it needs something to contrast, though I don't really know what. Will be making again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
All I did was add carrots and little potatoes. It was awesome!I used low sodium cream of mushroom. Wasn't salty. My boyfriend usually adds extra stuff for flavor but not this time. He did put a little salt and pepper. I never add salt or pepper to anything so to me this was amazing. Used a spoon and it just fell apart. My only regret is that I wish there was more!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2012
I soaked the noodles as other reviewers said. Worked fine. I omitted the salt because I don't like too much salt anyway and I knew from the canned tomatoes and sausage there would be plenty. I would recommend doubling up on the cheese because it makes alot.BF said it needed flavor, didn't stop him from constantly eating it. I think he thought that only because of lack of salt and I accidently added too much sugar. I loved it and will make it that way again. If you end up with extra sauce, use it on a homemade pizza. It's awesome!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
My boyfriend loved these! I liked them too, but didn't get to eat many cause he ate almost all of them. I added some minced garlic that I had on hand,if you do that make sure to add after sprouts have been cooking awhile, so you dont burn the garlic. I didn't know and it burned it up. Still tasty though!

Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2012
The recipe says 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. You will need quite a bit more than that! Also, reduce the amount of water you use or increase the amount of cornstarch. My boyfriend loved it, I thought it was good, but not great. It works with the hamburger which surprised me.Its a good base recipe, and you can play around with it.

Chocolate Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
I would give this zero stars if I could. Made it exactly as is in recipe and it wasnt even a pourable batter, so added more oil, still pasty, baked them anyway and the taste was aweful. I don't know what the deal was. Just aweful! So dissappointed.

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
It was good, I would add extra worcestershire sauce and cajun spices to the burger next time though. All in all was very good.

Stuffed Jalapeno Firecrackers

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
I didn't have gloves so I used sandwhich bags, no burns. I will say do not put them face down, maybe precook the bacon that way you dont have to flip them. They were very spicy. Not like the poppers you get at the store. My boyfriend loved them! I could only eat one. Next time I will use a little crushed pineapple in the cream cheese.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2012
If you pour it into already made graham crusts you get two cheesecakes out of this recipe. Its so good! This is the best cheesecake I have ever made. Thanks so much for the recipe. I did like other reviewers and left it in the oven to cool for a few hours.I only cooked mine for 40 minutes because of the fact that I used already made crusts so thecheesecake wasn't as thick. Perfect!

Liver and Onions

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
I rated this a four star just because I dislike liver. I made this for my boyfriend for his birthday, and he really liked it. I tried a piece with onion and thought i could eat it, but then I tried a piece by itself and no, I could not eat it. But he really liked it and said it was perfect. I didn't change anything.

Gorgonzola Stuffed Chicken Breasts Wrapped in Bacon

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
The only reason I didn't give this five stars was simply because evidently I'm not a fan of gargonzola. Its such a strong cheese. I did like others and sauteed the garlic and shallots in butter. I also broiled it at the last minute for 5mins to crisp the bacon. I will make again, but will probably try a different cheese. I will say this. You do not need extra salt in the mixture because the bacon lends plenty of its own. My boyfriend loved it as it was.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
This was great! We followed some other reviewers suggestions and used cream of mushroom. It was great. I added additional mushrooms. Since we only used two lbs of meatballs, we only used 8ozs of sour cream. added less than 1/4c flour to thicken sauce up a little. If i could give a suggestion it would be to use low sodium soup. It was a little salty.

Creamy Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
This was a really great recipe. Very simple. I recommend doubling up on the creme. Adding a lil extra seasoning while cooking the chicken is also a good idea. Overall, a very easy, healthy recipe. Will be making this again and again.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I had some small issues, like I didn't have a springform pan, and I couldn't get the cookie crumbs small enough, would have been to shallow of cheesecake, so I bought the chocolate cookie graham crust and since that was shallow, this recipe actually made two cheesecakes. Instead of making the raspberry stuff, I bought the small can of raspberry pie filling. It turned out amazing! Takes everything in me not to eat the entire cheesecake on my own. Very good stuff! I also let it cool in the oven like other people said. If you use the premade crusts, just know this recipe makes two cheesecakes.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
I made this recipe twice, and the first time I follwed it exactly and it was runny, so the second time I made it, like other reviewers I omitted the water. It was thicker, but too sweet and grainy. I must not have boiled it long enough or something. I added vanilla and cinnamon, but it still tasted funny. The first time I didnt add those things and tasted just ok. This is a recipe to play with a bit. But I think I will keep searching for another.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
This crust was ok, wasn't the one I was looking for though. Easy to make, however, I would use water sparingly. Only use a little at a time, otherwise you end up with a goopy mess.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2011
I cut down on the sugar like other reviewers said because I also used fresh peaches and they were very ripe. It turned out heavenly! One of the best cobblers I have ever had. I will be keeping this recipe for sure!

Yummy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
I didn't have soy sauce so I used worcestershire sauce instead. I did like the recipe said and plopped the chops in the pan and then poured the sauce over it and simmered. They were ok. Wasnt too salty, but the tangy was wierd to me. I think I might have cooked them too long cause they were a little tough. It was a very simple recipe, and if you like tangy, you will probably love this.

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
I made these the other night and it turned out great! I made a few slight changes, but it was still amazing. We dont like too much green pepper, so we used red peppers. I would suggest, like others, to use double spices. especially the worcestershire sauce. I accidently used too much cheese, but we love cheese so it was ok, used shredded mozzerella. This was a great recipe and I will definately be using it again.

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
I followed it as written, but when it started to bubble I think I lowered it too low. It took a long time to reach 238, actually even when I upped the heat it still never reached there and it smelled a little burnt so after doing the ball test I finally removed it from heat. I didn't stir it or anything just left it to cool. When it was about 120 I added the butter and vanilla and whipped like crazy. It never lost its gloss and after about 5 minutes and a very sore wrist I decided to put it in the foil and see what happened. About 20 minutes later I went back and I had fudge! It actually hardened. Its so rich that just a tiny piece will satisfy. I definately think adding the butter and vanilla after it has cooled helped. I tried making fudge twice before but they never set, so this recipe is a keeper!
