Herbed Mushrooms with White Wine

I thought this sounded a little better than it came out for us. After we put in the wine, the mushrooms began to release a lot of water, making it difficult to get the wine to evaporate down much. We're pretty experienced cooks, but not so much with mushrooms by themselves, so it very well could have been our error. We may try again! It was still good.

Salmon and Swiss Chard Quiche

We LOVED this recipe! We followed it almost exactly, except that we found you really don't need to use as much milk as is recommended to simmer the salmon. We doubled the recipe (making one to freeze) and only needed about 3 cups of milk (not 4). (See how later in the recipe you only use part of the milk again.) It could use a little salt when you stir in the eggs and milk. We made it in a whole wheat pie crust (so we didn't use the bread crumbs), baking it 7 min longer than the directions. Wonderful, wonderful! Thanks for such a great recipe!

Lima and Navy Bean and Ham Soup

This is a pretty good recipe--we just used the sausages and omitted the ham. Especially good with a little cheese or sour cream on top.

This was very good and simple! We made Nana's Mashed Turnip (also on allrecipes) and put some of the pan juices on them. Very good.

We've tried this a few times and I would recommend reducing the mozzarella cheese to about 2 cups--it is much better this way. Delicious recipe!

Easy Indian Style Okra

This recipe is smashing! We took it to a potluck, and it was eaten right up! I think the title "Indian style" might deceive some people. With the spice amounts recommended, it doesn't really come out tasting like an Indian dish (although it is wonderful). This may be why many others are recommending to increase the spices. In any case, a welcome new recipe to my okra repertoire!

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Wonderful recipe! We will make it again--it is the best Indian style recipe we've found that doesn't need lots of involved and/or foreign techniques! Delicious, even if not entirely restaurant style! Thanks for a great dinner!

Easy Fried Eggplant

I know that several people have rated this recipe highly. Just to add a different opinion, I did not find this recipe particularly tasty. I love the taste of eggplant, but thought the oil covered the taste too much. Too greasy. The texture, however, was nice. Add spices if you try it.
