Lime Chicken Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2014
I plan on making this recipe again! Per others' reviews, I used yellow onions instead of green onions, which I enjoyed. I also used a whole lime. I chopped the cubes small or made thin slices so that it would cook quicker. Therefore, I started by sautéing in onions, then pretty much just added everything else. Other than cutting up the toppings, it is a quick, easy recipe. Very tasty, will make again for sure!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Awesome recipe! Only changes that I made were using 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tbs less butter, and cooked them at 350 for 10 mins. I also made a batch using craisins and they were great too. Easy, delicious cookies!

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
Very good recipe. I used a 3lb. eye of round roast and cooked it for 3 hours, which was great for the roast, but not as flavorful as I would have hoped. Per other's suggestions, I turned the juices into gravy (adding flour), and served it over egg noodles with a side of mashed potatoes. Really good meal, but needed something more- maybe just salt and pepper. I'll try the recipe again and try to improve it a bit.

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
While this recipe was very tasty and delicious, it didn't quite make the 5-star cut for me, though I still recommend it. I made a few changes - I used frozen (thawed and drained) blueberries, and I used a traditional criss-cross pie crust. I'm sure fresh blueberries would have improved the recipe. I also topped it with whipped cream, which is recommended. I think that a deeper pie pan would also help. Overall, very tasty and easy to make!

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
I gave this 4 stars due to the recipe changes and it was just a very good classic blueberry pie. I used frozen (thawed & drained) blueberries so fresh blueberries probably would improve it. I feel like 5 - 6 cups of blueberries would have been a better amount of filling. Per other recommendations, I used 5 Tbs of cornstarch, added 2 T lemon juice, and lowered the temperature to 375. Overall, it's still a thumbs up, easy and tasty recipe.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
Awesome recipe! Only things I changed was the 3 chicken bullion cubes instead of granules, and I used half the pepper and it still seemed like a bit much, but my husband added more, so you might want to add it later. Overall, great recipe and will use it again!

Beef Tamales

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2013
This was my first time making tamales, so I'm still learning and would change a few things to the recipe. I looked at a lot of different recipes and decided to add onions to the slow cooker and meat. I wish I had read the 'most helpful review' on here first since I would have added the peppers to the slow cooker since you save the juice to add to the masa for flavor. After reading the review, I did add some taco bell taco sauce inside the tamale to try to add flavor, which might have helped a bit, but the masa was a little more bland than I prefer. I also added the traditional pimento olive, which I love. Overall, they're still pretty tasty but I will probably add some enchilada sauce or something to spice it up. I don't like very spicy foods, but I think more ancho chiles or some spicier chiles may also add more flavor. Glad that I made them, thumbs up.

Day Before Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2013
Mmmmm!!! Great recipe! I just made it for dinner, didn't refrigerate overnight, and it was awesome. Easy to make, and more healthy than some of the other recipes out there while still maintaining a great taste! My husband also loves it. I'll definitely make this again.

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2013
I've made this recipe several times and will continue to do so. You can use frozen or fresh spinach, dry or pre-mixed alfredo or pesto and it is so quick and easy. Delicious. A new favorite in my house!

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
I really loved this recipe, possibly the best dinner recipe on here or tied with the Chicken Marsala. I used a jar of premade Alfredo sauce and just the parmesan/romano cheese to top it off with, which is not even needed because it is so good! Easy and delicious! I will definitely be making this again and again!

It was good and easy, but could be better. I'll have to try to modify the recipe next time.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

This recipe is great, but it took a really long time and made a big mess of the kitchen. I'd use the recipe again, but it will be few and far between.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2012
I've made this recipe multiple times now and is always delicious. It's easy to make and only modify it by omitting the black beans (only because my fiance does not like them, but I bet it would be even better with them!). I didn't care to add green onions, but you can try it for yourself. I definitely recommend this recipe- tastes just like the mexican restaurants here in AZ.
