Mizithra Browned Butter Pasta

I used whole wheat spaghetti and it was still amazing! I would have used regular spaghetti if I had had any, and that is what I'll use next time. This tastes exactly like the mizithra cheese pasta at Old Spaghetti Factory! I let the butter cook the entire time the pasta was cooking to get a nice rich color, and I strained it through a paper towel. Worked wonderfully and tasted awesome!

Norwegian Flat Bread

I served this with melted butter and it was pretty good. It was also pretty easy to make. Overall, though, only 3 stars because I probably won't make this again; it was just ok.

Chicken Penne Italiano

When I made this, I doubled the recipe so that I could have enough for 6 people. Everyone had their fill, and there's still about half leftover. It's pretty filling. Also, and this is just personal preference, I would try to make this a bit thicker with maybe a bit more cornstarch and more tomatoes. Lastly, parmesan cheese (lots of it) is a must.

Maple Salmon

I followed the advice of my chef friend, and you all should too! Don't bake it! Cook in a skillet for 5-10 minutes with a buttered sheet of parchment paper on top of the salmon. It comes out very moist this way, and it cooks all the way through in a very short amount of time. Also, don't worry if your salmon doesn't cook all the way through. It's not like chicken; it's ok to eat some of it uncooked! I also used real maple syrup, I think that was key to the flavor. I normally don't like salmon, but this was awesome! I'll definitely be making it regularly.

All I can say is...awesome! I originally made this for a potluck and work and everyone went crazy for it. I wouldn't change a thing about this recipe, it's perfect as is!

Leftover Chicken Croquettes

This recipe was very good, and definitely an easy way to use leftover chicken. They were a bit dry. The only change I made was to bake them instead of frying them, at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. I would bake them again instead of frying them, but next time I make them I'll serve with some kind of sauce. And there will be a next time; these were very good!

Chimichurri Sauce

I served this with the Simple Whole Roasted Chicken and some brown rice. It was very good! It has an unusual, bitter aftertaste, but maybe that's normal; I've honestly never had this sauce before. I did love it though! So yummy with the rice, especially.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

I followed this recipe exactly, not a single change to it, and it was so so good! And very easy! The ingredients did seem a little odd when I was making it, and I was afraid my very picky boyfriend wouldn't like it, but he loved it too! I served it with the chimichurri sauce, which honestly I'd never had before, and also with some brown rice, and all of it was awesome! I'll definitely be making this again.

Turkey Goulash

Pretty good. I did alter it a bit though due to a lack of ingredients; I used macaroni noodles instead of bow-tie and other seasonings instead of basil. I still got the overall idea though, and it was a decent, quick, easy meal.

French Pastry Pie Crust

Awesome!!!! I used it for avocado pie I found on this site. I usually avoid eating the crust unless it's covered in whipped cream or something, but this was wonderful! It was like eating a cookie.

Avocado Side Dish

This was pretty good, but next time I make it I think I'll omit the chili. Every time I bit into a cold bean it made me a bit nauseous. Also, the market I went to didn't have vegetarian chili, so the pasta did have some meat in there. Still, I got the gist of it. Next time, no chili for me! And more avocado, yummy!

California Chicken Stir Fry

My boyfriend and I made this the other night and it was wonderful! We didn't use pineapple because he despises pineapple, which is too bad since I know that it would have been so yummy in it (I LOVE pineapple). Despite that, the recipe was very easy, quick, and delicious. The sauce was perfect.

Cheese and Broccoli Chicken Soup

I did what others said and added more cheese, but even then I think I still needed MORE cheese! It was a bit bland. It was awesome with sliced french bread with olive oil baked in the oven for 10 minutes, though. A whole meal in itself, yum yum. Also, I didn't care for the chicken in it. My boyfriend didn't mind it, but I thought it was much too bland and ended up just eating the broccoli. Is half and half equal to light cream? I wasn't sure, so that's what I used. Overall, very good, though! I will be making it again, but next time with no chicken, more cheese, and substituting maybe half the water for chicken broth.
