Lemon Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2003
makes an excellent and moist loaf of bread. everybody who tried it liked it! Didn't have lemon zest, so used real lemon juice and a tsp of rind. Also added 2tsp vanilla just for fun. Lemon flavor was a bit understated still though. thanks for this new recipe!

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2003
Absolutely to DIE FOR!!! Tsese are so DELICIOUS and easy, and everyone whose had them only complains about the restraint they hav eto exercise not to eat more! Used fresh apples with a juice and brown sugar concoction every time since i made them both times in europe and couldn't find pie filling. Now I'm ready to try them on my family in the good ol USofA, and I have every confidence they'll think i'm the best cook in the world! ;) little do they know how easy it is and it's all thanks to this recipe! Thanks for the #1 Dessert recipe on my list!!! :)

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
Very Pretty to look at and yummy too... Raspberries a little bit tart, should have added a bit more sugar..wished for a bit more white chocolate taste too, might try a different brand or more chips next time. Very impressive on a fancy plate with sauce drizzled and chocolate shavings. Guests couldn't believe I had 'made it myself'-- Thanks so much!

Aunt Jane's Brown Bread

Pretty good. Had much more the consistency of a gingerbread cookie than a loaf of bread. Thank you for sharing it, I.m glad I tried it!!

Costas French Market Doughnuts (Beignets)

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
these were really good. But were way too sticky to roll out and I was in a hurry. after a few failed attempts, I basically fried them in globs i tore by hand from the batter. They were still really tasty once disguised with generous helpings of powdered sugar. Dusted some of them very lightly with cinnamon and used some maraschino cherries just to add a festive appearance-- made a great birthday breakfast for my sweetie, along with an ice caffe latte!

Pseudo Sourdough for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
Perfect! This bread turned out perfettissimo; and this was the First try on my new breadmachine! used olive oil and 2/3rds white flour to 1/3 whole wheat. didn't rise as high as I expected, probably due to messing up the order of the ingredients. anyway, big applause from the hubby = great encouragement to try more bread recipes. Thanks!

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
This is deliciouso. We live in Italy, and my husband declares it was the best he's had thus far! I brushed the ladyfingers in a combo of sweetened espresso and brandy with a squeeze of lemon. Ive made it twice in the last 6 days, the second time for some reason the cream flopped, I must have over-beat it, it separated and curdled. bummer. Am going to give it another go this afternoon, Highly recommended! Just be careful on beating the cream.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
just delish!! you'd be surprised how flavorful the chicken turns out. I would cut back on the rosemary just a tad and the salt or worchestire sauce, but otherwise... YUM!

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
This was pretty good. I noticed that the finished product really needed a healthy dose of salt and pepper to make it really yummy. It also looked dry before I cooked it so I added 2 cups of milk, half a cup of water and half a cup of plain yogurt. It turned out the perfect consistency for us (I like creamy sauce). We'd make it again with these modifications!

White Chocolate Fruit Tart

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
I liked it a lot, the husband didn't care for it. But everyone agreed the crust was excellent! I had to supplement the white chocolate I had with some dark chocolate so the presentation was probably not as elegant as it would have been. Likewise had to use whole plain yogurt in place of heavy cream because that's all I had. Our guest and I thought it was good, bummed that the hubby didn't. :(

Nice, but nothing particularly special! ;) prepared according to review suggestions: a little olive oil and butter, saute asparagus and add salt, pepper and fresh garlic towards the very end. Healthy and tasty!

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
Wow, these are great. I just finished making a batch, and polishing off two of them in one sitting! Followed recipe to a T, topped with sesame. course salt and garlic powder to make Everything Bagels, and then did a few with Cinnamon & Sugar. Both Absolutely DELISH! no need to toast them, just slather some cream cheese on there and go to town! Probably will make 8 instead of 9 next time to make them a tad bigger. Only slight prob is they did stick to the pan when baking, but nothing disastrous. Would love to know how I could keep these tasting fresh for the second day. Maybe that's a pipe dream?? THANKS A MILLION! Satisfied my NY bagel craving all the way overseas! much appreciated!
