Chocolate Bar Fondue

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
I halved the recipe for 4 people and there was plenty leftover. It was delicious and easy to make but couldn't taste the coffee, which one guest appreciated. I used chopped milk chocolate bars instead of grated chocolate, melted with cream in glass bowl over boiling water, served in fondue pot. Froze leftovers to reuse.

Flatlander Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This is the best chili I've ever had, and my husband agrees!!! I follow the recipe, except I don't add the sugar. I cook the beef then add everything to my crockpot on low for several hours, and it's even better reheated the next day! I serve with sour cream and shredded mild cheddar, and black bean & garlic flavored tortilla chips.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This apple pie is AMAZING!!! I never thought I could top my grandma's recipe, but this one did it! My husband doesn't even like sweets, and he couldn't stop eating this pie. Our pumpkin pie went to waste because everyone was filling up on this one. DELICIOUS!!!!

Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
This is a go-to dinner for my husband and I! It's delicious and tastes like it's from a high end restaurant. I make it exactly as stated in recipe, but cook it on my indoor grill pan.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
I made this for the first time on Thanksgiving - for just my husband and I, so I halved the recipe. We both loved it and couldn't stop talking about how awesome it was! Neither of us like turkey, and he is more of a beef-eater, so even he was surprised at how much he liked this chicken. Minor changes - didn't use white pepper and added a few cloves of garlic in with the onion. Then used the leftovers to make Chicken Tortilla Soup I from this site. I will make this again for any occasion!

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2012
Great recipe! I prefer mild sausage, as I don't like the sweetness of maple in my gravy, but that's just a personal preference. I've even used this recipe with 2% milk, when that's all I have. It's worth the calorie splurge every once in a while!!! Makes a great, hearty breakfast-for-dinner meal too! My husband loves it, and he even asked me to teach him how to make it so he can make me breakfast ... maybe someday :)
