Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2012
These were one of the best meatballs I've made. I didn't feel like chopping up onion and my boyfriend is not a big fan of onion so I substituted with a little bit of onion salt. I used cayenne pepper instead of franks red hot sauce because i didn't have any on hand. As another reviewer stated i subbed the milk for 1 egg with no problem. I also filled the meatballs with mozzerella cheese and cooked them in a skillet with some oil. They would be even better if they were stuffed with mozzerella and ricotta cheese!

Bean 'N' Rice Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2012
My friend and I made this recipe one day when we were starving and looking for something cheap to make. I didn't think it was gonna be as good as it was because it doesn't have any meat in this recipe but it actually turned out very tasty! The only changes we made were we used shredded cheddar cheese instead of Velveeta and we used brown rice to make it a little healthier. I would definitely make this again! It was quick, easy & cheap!

Ginger Chili Citrus Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
this was very flavorful! I marinated the salmon for 2 and a half hours. Then i baked the salmon in the oven (at 350 degrees) with all the marinade in a baking dish because other reviewers said they wished they had used all the marinade. This is the first time i've ever cooked salmon and it was a great hit with the boyfriend as well! I served the salmon with a side of asian stir fry.

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
I made this for my boyfriend on valentines day. He loved it! He wished I had made more of the honey mustard sauce to dip the chicken in afterwards. I took advice from some of the previous reviewers and cooked the bacon in a skillet, then I sauteed the mushrooms & chopped onions (I didn't have onion flakes) in the bacon fat and some butter (i drained a little of the bacon fat out first so it wasn't too greasy). This way only one skillet gets dirty. Personally I would just use a honey mustard sauce from the store but my boyfriend seemed to like it better than the ones at the store. So its just a matter of preference, I think this sauce tasted sweeter than store bought honey mustard.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
This was perfect, like other reviewers stated this isn't fancy cheese sauce. This is the nacho cheese sauce you get at the ballpark! You can add salsa, jalapenos, or a dash of ground cayenne pepper to give it a kick if you like. American cheese is a must in this recipe, I tried using some cheddar cheese and it didn't turn out as good.

State Fair Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
My boyfriend & I made a small batch of this the other day to try it and we were blown away! It tastes exactly like the kettle corn I buy at fairs & festivals. I'm so glad I can now make this anytime I want at home. We didn't even have a pan with a lid we used a big wok and covered it with aluminum foil and carefully tucked the foil around the edges so the kernels didn't pop out. It was so good, we've made 5 batches of it in the past week!

Mushrooms in White Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
this was soo good, i didn't use the cornstarch, i just cooked the sauce at a low temperature while i was making the rest of the meal. I added a dab of butter for more flavor and used about a tablespoon of chicken broth instead of the bouillon cube (i only made 2 servings, not the 6 servings that the recipe calls for). Then i cooked spaghetti noodles and topped it with the mushrooms in white wine sauce. This was a great side dish to my tilapia marinated in white wine with parmesan cheese and garlic. yum!
