Buttermilk Honey Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2005
This is the first time I've ever made whole wheat bread and it is delicious! I don't have a ABM so I used my Cuisinart. First I mixed the dry ingredients together; then I combined the wet ingredients before slowly adding them to the machine. I did have to add about 1/2 to 3/4 cup more white flour before the dough would release from the sides of the bowl. Other than that I followed the recipe and obtained a perfect loaf of bread. This recipe is a keeper.

Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2004
This was wonderful! I used it on two rib eye steaks and marinated them for about six hours. I omitted the garlic because my husband doesn't "do" garlic in anything, but the basic marinade is great without it. I'll be using this again - copper

Mild Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2004
This was a wonderful recipe. Mild enough for those who can't handle too much heat, but easily made more spicy for those who do. Very easy to prepare earlier in the day and then slip into the oven in time for dinner. I'll make this again.

Homemade Mustard Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2004
This was nice and creamy, but it was too sweet for my taste. I would decrease the sugar to 1/4 cup and increase the mustard to 2 teaspoons.

Crispy Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2003
I followed the recipe exactly, however the chicken had no flavor (I did use salt and pepper) and the coating was hard, not crispy, when finished. Sorry, but I won't be using this recipe again.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2003
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Ms. Remple for posting your recipe. I have never been able to make an outstanding meatloaf, but with your recipe my husband said it was delicious and a keeper! I only modified it a bit by using a little less onion soup mix, part of the cheese was a pepper jack (because I did not have enough cheddar on hand) and I used 18 regular crackers (sprayed with butter and microwaved until crisp) instead of the buttery round crackers because I didn't have them on hand either. This is now the only way I will ever make meatloaf - so simple and so good!
