Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

excellent! I made a few minor changes~I left out the cheese and olives, and added frozen peas and green onion, I also left out the milk. I plan to serve this over a bed of lettuce to make it a "blt" salad. I also think this would be good with chicken in place of the bacon. Thank you for a great recipe!

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

I was a little concerned about this recipe, but it turned out to be excellent. I accidentally forgot to put in the lemon. We topped it with tortilla chips, sour cream and avacadoes. The avacadoes were a great addition. Oh, and I also used fresh corn because I had it on hand.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This is the best slaw I have ever made, which means it's probably the best slaw I've ever eaten. I did make a few changes, however. I used rice vinegar in place of the white vinegar, I reduced the sugar just a bit, though next time I will use the full 1/2 cup. I also used fresh cabbage, and next time I will add shredded carrots. Oh, and I used mayo instead of miracle whip, because I am in the camp that believes miracle whip is from the devil. Thank you so much for a delicious recipe! This one will go into my real recipe box.

Chef John's Buttermilk Biscuits

I chose this recipe because it doesn't use lard or shortening, and it was very good. The only difference I made was that I used 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour and 1 1/2 cup white flour. I also mixed it in my food processor and I wasn't dissapointed!

Chinese Broccoli Slaw

I am going to give this recipe 5 stars even though I didn't follow it exactly, I used the dressing, and that's the most important part. I made this with cabbage instead of broccoli, and left the ramen raw, just crumbled it into the slaw. The thing that makes this slaw different is the soy sauce in the dressing.

Chicken and Waffles

Let me start by saying that I never would have tried this if it hadn't had 10 5 start ratings. It sounded so disgusting that I had to try it. I never would have thought that these ingredients would taste good at all. I'm so glad I gave it a chance, because it was delicious! I made a few minor changes, I omitted the bacon and cheese. I made the sauce as written and for the chicken, I only reduced the cayenne and black pepper because I'm not huge fan of spicy. I used 6 full chicken breasts sliced into "tenders" and there was plenty of the egg/cream and flour mixtures. I think if you were actually going to use 6 tenders, those could both be halved so as not to waste. The sauce was amazing, and the chicken+sauce+waffles combo was out of this world. Crunchy, sweet, a little spicy. 8 of us ate this and everyone loved it. Also, we had both homemade and frozen waffles, and everyone liked the frozen waffles better.

Smooth Sweet Tea

This tea is really good. I think the baking soda really makes the difference, I was very surprised it wasn't bitter. I do reduce the sugar, though to about 1/3 cup.

Whole Wheat Sweet Potato Muffins

These are very good. The only changes I made was I left out the nuts on top and I didn't have enough honey, so I substitued 1/2 white sugar for 1/2 of the honey.

Whole Grain Waffles

Excellent! I was surprised that the top rated waffle recipe here was a whole grain one. The only change I made was I substituted oat bran for the wheat germ. A keeper for sure.

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Light Oat Bread

This bread was awesome! I made it by hand, and for the first time, I let it rise with a wet dishtowel covering it. I also used 1/2 whole wheat flour. This recipe is a keeper for sure. Thank you!

Focaccia Bread

I had never made focaccia before and wanted to try it. I was very surprised at how easy and fast it was, I followed the instructions and had no problems with it rising. In the future I will leave out the basil until when I have access to fresh, though. I can see this as a starting point to many different variations.

Seven Grain Bread II

I made the mistake of adding the cereal to the water, and the cereal absorbed the water making the dough sort of dry. I then added 1T of water and it was too wet, so had to add a little bit more flour. Because of this or maybe not, it was too big for my machine. It was worth it though, the best bread machine bread I've ever had! Next time I'll put the cereal on top of the flour.

Pizza On The Grill I

This is my new favorite recipe and has gone into regular rotation in my house. I read some reviews and made some changes. I cut the dough into 4 small pizzas and cook them two at a time on the grill. They are easier to manuver and flip, and also we can make four different kinds of pizzas. I brush both sides of the crust with the garlic oil instead of the grill. Shape the dough, brush the top with oil, flip it upside down and brush the new top with the oil, let it cook, flip it, then put the toppings on. My husband and I have it down to a science now. I have made the crust in my bread machine as well as by hand. I have made it as written and have left out the garlic and basil in the dough. I have substituted 1/2 of the flour with whole wheat flour. It comes out beautifully each time. Thank you for this recipe. I think it is the best pizza I've ever had!

Lemon Curd Bars

This recipe was perfect for using up some lemon curd leftover from the holidays and for my husband's coconut craving. The only change I made was I left out the almonds because of my daughters nut allergy. Delicious! I had no problems and they came out perfectly. Yum.
