Thanksgiving Meatloaf

Yummy, made as directed. The whole family loved this. I'll make it again. I did use parmasean cheese though because thats what I had.

I read all the reviews and did decrease the sugars to 3/4 c each and the butter as well. it was still quite sweet and greasy. tasted good, but the greasy was overpowering.

Chicken and Gnocchi Soup

This was good, I'll probably make again. I thought it had too much celery. I also had to cook it a bit longer than directions said for veggies to get tender. The kids loved it though!

I was disappointed with this. i did not like the topping at all, in my opinion walnuts or no nuts would've been better than pecans and it had too much nutmeg . I had a lot of topping leftover as well and put it on quite thick. The cake was nice and moist though.

Grilled Bok Choy

My son and I loved this, got him to try a new veggie! You could flavor it with whatever you like, it mostly tastes like the oil/butter seasoning you use. I used fresh garlic.

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

My 6yr old had turkey tetrazzini from Whole Foods and loved it, she asked me to make some. She did not like this recipe. I thought it was ok, but very salty.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins

Surprised by the number of reviews. I thought these were just ok. The submitter must have used jumbo muffin tins. I used regular and got 20 muffins. Mine didnt rise very high and I didnt think they were especially chocolatey. I'll keep looking for a really good double chocolate recipe.

Baklava

My 12yr old made this last night, it was very easy. he did wind up with a bit of leftover butter(we had read the reviews so I had him melt the butter and brush it on) We also added about 1/2tsp more cinnamon. I should've followed the suggestion and had him make 1 1/2 sauce. He used 1/2 walnuts, 1/2 pistachioes. he's already talking about next time he makes it!

Seven Layer Gelatin Salad

I made this in clear plastic cups. It's very pretty the kids thought it was great fun, however too many flavors and out of 5 kids only 2 ate more than the cool whip off the top. They had a great time making it. I think if you made complimentary flavors rather than just random colors it would be okay. I'll try it again at 4th of july.

Meat Pie (Tourtiere)

I made this for a family party and everyone loved it. I decided to double the recipe at the last minute so wound up using half beef and half pork. Left out the cinnamon-after reading reviews and used more allspice. I also microwaved my potatoes and didnt wind up doubling the water just added enough to let it simmer. Did not use egg or paprika and the top was beautiful.

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

I tried this recipe because it uses ingreds I always have. I made just 1/2 batch and it came out just fine. I made mini fondant roses, following a technique I found on cake central called duff roses. It was very easy.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

This was good, I'd prob make it again. I diced my chicken and didnt read the directions very well because I added a can(from the soup) of milk instead of just 1/4 cup. But it turned out fine. Oh and I used cheddar as I was out of swiss.

Sugar Cream Pie I

I thought this was very good. It did take a long time to thicken. I used a 9" pie pan and it filled it nice and full. I refrigerated it overnight and it sliced nicely and held its shape. I would make this again.
