Quick Shrimp Lo Mein

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2013
This was blander than I was expecting. Like the other reviews mentioned, make much more of the sauce than called for. I am going to continue my search for authentic lo mein

Beef Samosas

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2014
I made changes suggested from reviewers as follows: I made the dough that was suggested... much better than phyllo I think! The recipe was 2c AP flour, 4 Tbsp oil, 4 Tbsp water. The filling needed double this dough recipe, however the dough was great I also used lentils instead of peas, and garam masala instead of cardamom (didn't have any) The samosas seemed very authentic this way.... I might try baking some of them next time. I served these with tziziki sauce

Real Homemade Bagels

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2014
Really good! I made mine the night before and then took it out of the fridge a couple hours before making them. Kids love them, one daughter rolled chocolate chips in, very popular! I will say that the dough seemed very tight, I added a tbsp of water and split the dough in half so that the dough hook could do it's work. Each half portion was kneaded for at least 14 minutes. I read some reviews where people decided to hand knead.... no thank you! I used the honey in the boiling water, it certainly adds a yummy fragrance!

Easy Cream of Chicken Rice Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
Really good, I made some changes based on earlier reviews. I added 2 ribs of celery and 2 carrots with one large onion. Also, increased flour to about 1/3c. I didn't have fresh herbs, so used dried, and made some regular white rice to add. I had to add chik stock as it sat, so keep extra. I probably added 3 additional cups over the course of the afternoon. Kids love it!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2014
per other reviewers, I deleted the salt and cut way back on the hot spice (my family would require that!) Otherwise, It was fantastic. I thought that it was much better to let the cooked meat simmer in the sauce for longer....the longer the better. I put mine in a dutch oven on low heat for a couple of hours while we were out, was even better! Served with rice pilaf and homemade naan, will make this one again!

Granola Bars III

Really good texture. I'm not a huger fruit fan, I used dried cherries instead of raisins. I think next time I'll try some chopped toffee and coconut, pecans would be good too!!

Really good, mild flavor I served it atop parmesan rissoto with steamed broccoli. Very nice upscale dinner, your guests will think it was very difficult... and it wasn't!
