Ranch Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Be very wary of the lemon pepper you use! For years I assumed that it just had, well, lemon and pepper, but the cheap stuff is LOADED with SALT! Look for the salt free version, and I believe it will resolve the over-saltiness! LOVE these addictive little crackers!!

Chocolate Mice

My granddaughter are making these for Thanksgiving for the second year. They are fabulously funny and good! Let me tell you what I learned about the chocolate wafers..they are with the ice cream cones! Don't ask me, but that is where you'll find them - very near the ice cream!

Cranberry-Jalapeno Relish

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
People have called me after my parties to request this recipe. It is definitely for the bold, the turkey-cranberry-bored! Spicy, alive, and WOW!! So, so good after Thanksgiving with the turkey, some spinach and a little mayo in a WRAP!! I make this sauce to do turkey wraps all year... try it and let the bold among your guests beg you for this recipe!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: May 24, 2006
Since I've been praised so many times for this recipe, I think it's time I thank you Tina! I don't eat salmon, but when I cook it for my guys, they always insist on this recipe! I served this at a family reunion last year (a big beautiful slab 'o salmon), and even my caterer-brother in law wanted the recipe!! Here's another few stars **********!!!!

Bratwurst, Sauerkraut and Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2005
My guys were really disappointed with this recipe...it's basically pretty ugly, and we couldn't figure out what to do with everything... way too mushy to put in a bun..do you put the beans in or have them on the side? They henceforth have demanded I not adulterate their beloved brats and kraut. I love this site for printing recipes just before I go home, and have a huge stack of recipes that stepson wants to take to college. Unfortunately, this one went in the trash... sorry!

Yummy Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2004
I love this stuff! I've been asked to bring this to several get-togethers and it's always impressive. I like to use crescent rolls for the crust (spread out in a pretty casserole, and baked until just brown). More bacon and more chiles make it a really substantial meal - and it's pretty!!!

Apricot Danish Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2004
This was very pretty and tasty. My can of apricots only had 14 too, so it was fun to try to avoid getting that one cream cheese Danish! Instead of using water for the glaze, I used the yummy syrup from the can. It gave the whole cake an extra apricot boost!!

Homemade Vanilla

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2003
I am so very greatful that you've solved the vanilla mystery, Ginger. (With that name, you were obviously born to be a foodie!!!) I will never buy vanilla again, and think of the joy in giving someone a gorgeously adorned BIG bottle of home-made, low-carb, organic-as-it-gets Vanilla!!!! I will have and share immense pleasure from this gift of your recipe. Merry Christmas to you!

Microwave Pralines

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2003
These are sooooo good. I made the mistake of letting them sit too long in the microwave, but not problem - I just nuked them a couple more seconds, and they were magic! Very impressive with the chocolate oatmeal cookies on this site - just don't make my mistake and do them at the same time!! Great travel food.

Shrimp Scampi V

Reviewed: May 9, 2003
This was so pretty! I didn't have quite enough parmesan, so I just sprinkled a little flour in the sauce to thicken it. I served it on a big platter surrounded by wilted spinach, and had to fight for leftovers to share at work today. Thanks for my new Shrimp Scampi recipe!!
