About this Cook
After cooking for one for many years, I now have a fiance, 3 almost sons, and 2 almost grandkids! What an audience for my cooking!
My favorite things to cook
Everything except things still moving!! Love cooking from fresh ingredients and making spectacular dishes
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is carved in stone - turkey, dressing, green beans, potato salad, etc...
My cooking triumphs
I single-handedly catered a 3-Day Family Reunion!! I cooked 2 meals a day for 40 people, including one adult party and one huge low country boil for my fiance's Family Reunion, which we hosted in Charleston!!
My cooking tragedies
Almost the family reunion, but once I broke a bowl trying to do the microwave pralines for my almost sister-in-law! I've had many more that I'm too embarrassed to share - okay, as a young bride, I sprinkled popcorn with garlic salt instead of regular salt while entertaining. Noone said a word - hey I was ahead of my time with gourmet popcorn!!!

Ranch Oyster Crackers
Be very wary of the lemon pepper you use! For years I assumed that it just had, well, lemon and pepper, but the cheap stuff is LOADED with SALT! Look for the salt free version, and I believe it will resolve the over-saltiness! LOVE these addictive little crackers!!

Chocolate Mice
My granddaughter are making these for Thanksgiving for the second year. They are fabulously funny and good! Let me tell you what I learned about the chocolate wafers..they are with the ice cream cones! Don't ask me, but that is where you'll find them - very near the ice cream!

Cranberry-Jalapeno Relish
People have called me after my parties to request this recipe. It is definitely for the bold, the turkey-cranberry-bored! Spicy, alive, and WOW!! So, so good after Thanksgiving with the turkey, some spinach and a little mayo in a WRAP!! I make this sauce to do turkey wraps all year... try it and let the bold among your guests beg you for this recipe!
