Easy Alfredo Sauce I
Super easy and so tasty - much better than the packaged, pre-made Alfredo sauces you get at the grocery store, which tend to have a lot of other ingredients you don't really need. I agree with the reviewer who noted that you get the best results from adding the Parmesan cheese slowly, and stirring continuously. Also, I used Parmesan-Romano, which gave it a little extra zip, and real butter (unsalted), which does make a difference flavor-wise. I figure, as long as you don't have it every day, there's nothing wrong with this - it uses real ingredients and not a bunch of chemical additives, and you can truly say it's homemade!

Sloppy Joe Bake
I did not have sloppy joe mix on hand, so instead, I mixed in 2 small (8oz. each) cans of tomato paste with the browned ground beef, along with some frozen chopped onion and a few basic spices - basil, oregano, and a little salt & pepper. I also baked the bottom crescent layer for about 5 mins. while the filling was cooking, to ensure it would not be doughy, and then I baked the whole thing about 23 minutes. All in all, very tasty!!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad
I've been making this salad for years -- it was the first recipe I ever tried from this site. I often take it to potlucks and small group meetings, and people always go crazy for it! I make it according to the recipe; I think toasting the almonds in a bit of butter really ups the flavor. I do use Craisins, as other reviewers have suggested, and also sometimes throw in some blue or gorgonzola cheese, but otherwise, I stick to the recipe, and it always turns out great!
