Great recipe...I added some diced cooked chicken and brought it to a potluck as a cold salad. Everyone loved it!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
My favourite bruschetta recipe ever! I was worried the out of season tomatoes at Christmas would dampen the flavor but it was still so great and a huge hit. Everyone loved it!

Delicious! I boiled the potatoes and vegetables in chicken broth and skipped the bouillion. It was so good!! I used skim milk and it was perfect.

Chef John's Perfect Prime Rib

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2012
Prime rib was perfect, juicy and perfectly pink. Followed the recipe exactly with a 4 lb prime rib. Loved it! Love the video to really get a good sense of how to apply the butter and herbs. I'll be trying more of your recipes in the near future for sure!

Buttertart Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
Made this last night, yikes, so good! I did 1.5 times the recipe in a 9x13 glass pan. I think doubling it would make it too thick and even more rich. I need to hide it from the family (and myself!) until Christmas. I'll make this again and again.

Golden Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
We loved this soup. My husband said it was better than his mom's potato soup he grew up on. Yay! I doubled the recipe and found there was not enough water to boil the veggies, so added an additional cup. It was very thick after adding the milk and flour so added more milk to thin it out a little. It didn't effect the taste at all, very tasty. DH wants it once a week in the fall/winter, so I guess I'll be making this again soon!

Giant Ding Dong Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Wow!! So great! I made cupcakes (24) baked for 18 mins @ 350. Didn't change the recipe at all. The filling was great. I arranged the cupcakes on a platter and wrote HAPPY B-DAY along with my daughter's name with letter on each cupcake. The party is tonight, I made them yesterday and cut into one today to see how the filling looked as I'd never piped filling into a cupcake before. It was great. Even though I'm on a mission to lose weight before our vacation next week, I had to have a bite and had to really restrain myself from eating the entire cupcake. Can't wait to make them again and allow myself to eat a whole one! Thanks for the great recipe!

Crazy Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
So good!! Next time I'll try to substitute half the oil for applesauce to cut down on the fat. Still loads of calories, but worth it once in a while. We didn't ice the cake, just sprinkled with a dusting of icing sugar. Love it like that, not as rich or as calorie dense.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
This was seriously delicious. I used stovetop stuffing for the topping as suggested by other reviewers. It reminded me of a turkey dinner. I've never used stovetop before and it was tasty! The chicken stayed pretty moist. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's leftovers.

Crepes

Great recipe as is. I don't normally have time to leave the batter sit in the fridge for an hour, and they turn out great anyway.

Grandma's Favorite Chicken

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
We really enjoyed this. I added some extra veggies, cauliflower and mushrooms. I loved the vidalia onions that I used with the potatoes. Delicious!! I omitted the butter on top of the drumsticks. Probably why the skin didn't crisp up very well, but we take the skin off before eating anyway, so not a big deal to us. The kids ate the parts of the skin that were crispy and there weren't any complaints from them. I'll definitely make this again. A great meal to pop in the oven before running the kids to wherever they have to go! Thanks!!

Spicy Italian Pork Cutlets

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
Very nice...I used some pork cutlets that I had on hand. Canned diced tomatoes and veggie stock, also all I had on hand. No white wine, as we're red drinkers, but didn't add any red either. Everyone enjoyed it, but the kids scraped off the tomatoes. Picky eaters!

Penne with Asparagus and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2009
I loved this recipe, but did make it much healthier. I sauteed the garlic in a pan sprayed with non stick spray, then added the mushrooms and asparagus with a couple tablespoons of oil, not the half cup called for. In place of the whipping cream, I used a half cup low fat sour cream. It was delicious, and healthy and even the kids liked it.
