The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because I thought it needed more seasoning when I followed the recipe exactly. I changed it up somewhat by putting poultry seasoning and sage and I doubled the liquid ingredients.
Since I also need more than just one pie for my family, I added potatoes, put everything in a 9x13 pan, poured the liquid over and covered with two pie crusts instead of having a bottom crust. It was phenomenal.
You could use a bottom crust but I didn't have any pre-made ones and I didn't have time to make any!
