Ingrid's Caesar Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2014
i didnt have anchovy paste, dont like blue cheese dressing and I didnt use dry mustard I used dijon mustard instead, so beside not using these three ingredients and just substituting one this is a fabulous tasting dressing, super easy, super quick, and have most of the ingredients on hand. Awesome

Easy Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
this is very good,I did do a few minor changes, first,I bought a beef bottom sliced steaks pounded them out to about half an inch or 3/4 inch.I slightly seasoned with fresh garlic, salt and pepper then I put the meat in cornstarch and rolled them around, cooked the meat.while the meat is cooking,I didnt have beef stock so I used beef boullion cubes with hot water added fresh minced garlic, lots of blk pepper a dash of salt(make sure the boullion mixture is not too salty,u can dilute if it is with more hot water or delete the salt)and red pepper flakes, shoyu (soy sauce) and maggi (yellow bottle, look in the mexican aisle or next to the steak sauces or worcestershire). Now back to the meat, once the meat is slightly still red in the middle I added sliced mnushrooms, sliced onions and sliced red and green bell peppers cook till meat is done to your liking then add the boullion mixture simmer, stirring often cover and simmer till thicken (meat is so tender if u have enough liquid and simnmer to soften).served over white rice and a salad its very good.I had leftovers for brunch with an over medium egg on top, this was so delicious.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
This recipe is not bad but not outstanding either. This is somewhat how I make my meatballs and my kids says it tastes like that somewhat.I did think it was going to lack flavor, and Im a flavorful person.I added 3-4 garlic cloves, minced, onions, sliced, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper.I also do find the mushroom flavor soup kinda overpowering so if you dont want that, try using only 1 1/2 cans instead of 2.Its not a bad recipe and I will probably make it once in a while but,my own recipe has tons of more flavor and more versatile to use the left overs than this recipe. You could use the left overs for hot roast beef sandwiches, beef pot pie,but not many other choices.I do give it 4 stars, not a bad recipe but I feel it needs more flavor other than just medie orker gravy.

Chocolate Candy Bar Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2008
I can not say enough about this cake, its so moist,so scrumptous, dang it has ruined my starting my New Year's Day diet till next week, its been like 4 days since I made this cake and its still super moist.Anyhows,I made the cake exactly like written but used cheesecake pudding mix,(I really dont think it matters what pudding mix you use because you cant taste it but its the key to the moistness of the cake)I didnt use whip cream topping I made heavy cream with vanilla and powder sugar mix instead and for my candy bar I used snickers.Dang that snickers is the bomb. The perfect amount of nuts and carmel in the cake man alive I cant say enough.Since I used the snickers I didnt put the pecans in my whip cream mix.I think if you have too much nuts it would just enpower the cake, and I love nuts.Sooooooooooo please please try this cake,it will change the way you make cakes from now on.Now I will put pudding mix in all my cake mixes.Thank you Nancy,a great recipe to keep for life.Koodols to you!!!!!

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
very delish.I did only use 1/2c. of sugar and 1 tbsp.Made a flaky crust two layers of bananas, didnt bake, made a heavy cream/pwdr sugar cream and wala.I think they only thing I want to try next time is to use only 1/4c cornstarch, I thought the 1/3c was just a tad to thick.I dont like runny pies but this was just a tad too thick. So I might lighten up on the corn starch. But as for flavor.Very good, not too sweet.Perfect.Thank you.Beats any pudding mix.(which is runny)

German Chocolate Cake Frosting II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2005
I made this recipe, but I added about a tablespoon/table spoon in a half of cornstarch mixed with the evaporated milk,to thicken since some people said it was a little runny.I chopped up my pecans,(only about a half cup or less)about a 1/4 cup of lightly roasted coconut.I finished making the frosting then let it sit for about an hour,it thicken up nicely but not too thick to spread.I frosted it on a nicely refrigerated german chocolate cake and it spread magnificiently.I sell cakes/pies/cookies and food and this cake was gone in 2 minutes or less I kid u not.It was a huge huge huge hit. Also to note,I never liked the frosting on the german chocolate cakes before, due to too much coconut too sweet etc... but this I added to my own liking on the coconut and pecans. It also tasted sweet when I tried it(which made me skeptical)but when it was on the cake the cake isnt that sweet mixed with the frosting it was perfect just perfect I tell u.An A+++++++++++++++++if not better.Thank you thank you thank you.

This is good, very tasty. The only thing I have to say negatiwe about this recipe is that you can taste the pudding mix in here(that artificial taste if you know what I mean). But like I said it is not bad.I make it occassionally.
