Santa's Favorite Cake

Great cake! Took it to a party and brought home an empty plate. I didn't put all the sugar in the icing, but that left me a little tight on finishing. I think next time I will used more cream cheese, too.

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

This was so yummy! I used fresh sweet potatoes and cooked them first, then peeled and mashed. I also added a little cinnamon. I took some others advice and increased the topping amount. Will definitely made this again!

Lentil Soup

great soup! I also boiled some boneless/skinless chicken breasts while it was simmering, then pulled them and out shredded them when done. Very yummy, the kids enjoyed it. Will def make again.

Like a huge Reese's PB cup! I never have any left when I take these anywhere! I do, however, use less powdered sugar than called for.

Pollo Mediterranean

Pretty good. I used the dry packaged sun dried tomatoes b/c it was what we had and served this with pasta. Hubby and I enjoyed it and the kids ate it :) Next time I will probably use kalamata olives.

Lentil Soup III

Loved it! Only changes were more garlic and I added carrots for some extra chunkiness. Will probably add some tomatoes or other veggies next time just because we like them. Otherwise, great as is!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

This was a little too sweet for us. I started with frozen breasts, and cook time was perfect. I also did not have a problem thickening the sauce as I read in a few reviews. Served ours over pasta.

Meatball and Pasta Soup

Great soup! I made a few changes b/c of my personal preferences: all beef in the meatballs, 2 cans beef broth plus 1 1/2 cans water and 1 beef bouillon cube, boiled my pasta in the soup, left out additional soup and celery. Will def make this again!

Cajun Style Corn Soup

Awesome soup. My hubby said best I have made. I wanted it a little soupier, so I added more tomato paste and more water. I also added beef bouillon and some cumin per another recommendation. Also used frozen corn.

Pretty good. I used split chicken breasts and they came out a little dry (I thought), but my family loved it. Next time I will cook it for less time with breasts or use a whole chicken.

Cabbage Beef Soup

This is a great soup, and very easy to make. I was hesitant the first time I made this a year or so ago. But it was pleasantly surprising. My 3 young children even enjoyed it. We will continue to make this in the future.

Apple, Carrot, Or Zucchini Cake

This is a great cake! I used 1 zucchini and the rest apple. I iced it with cool-whip that I had added cinnamon and powered sugar to. My dinner guests were a bit skeptical, but we very pleasantly surprised. Even my 6 yr old son who refuses to eat any dessert that contains fruit asked for more! The only 2 changes I made were to omit the walnuts and use less sugar (only 1 1/4C). Will definitely make this one again! Thanks!

One Bowl Brownies

I was going to give this a 4. But then I tried getting the rest out of the pan, and ran into problems. The taste is pretty good - not as chocolaty as I usu make (I was out of ingred for my usu recipe), but still tasted good. However, they didn't come out and off the spatula w/o falling apart easily. And the outer edges of the pan are still in my pan, impenetrable by my knife. All that said, my kids thoroughly enjoyed them, and I am sure my hubby will when he gets home! The un-cuttable edges are the reason I rated down. sorry!

Slow Cooker Tomato Chicken

We thought this was pretty tasty. I did what another user suggested and added a can of tomato soup (only b/c I had one in the pantry and we like alot of sauce). We served this with pasta and the hubby and kids all enjoyed it.

Butternut Squash and Spicy Sausage Soup

Great soup! I used regular pork sausage b/c I couldn't find turkey and I was afraid my young ones wouldn't like the heat - although I can see where it would really add alot! My husband added some hot sauce to his bowl and again to his second. :) I added not quite twice as much rice, but I was also short on corn. Will definitely be making this one again!
