Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I have always wanted to like carrots but never do. The recipes that have honey or maple syrup are not for me. These were enjoyed by the entire family and is my new carrot recipe.

Cherry Cordial Cookies

I omitted the white chocolate and nuts. Still totally awesome. Made them for the holidays and they were a huge hit, because they were so moist, they stayed fresh for a long time.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

I was sceptical about the beer but it actually gave it that restaurant taste. Mine was so tender it was difficult to slice thin. Absolutely terrific.

Spinach and Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2001
I tried it with meat and with cheese tortelline. Almost any variation is good, however I used baby spinach and learned to add it just prior to serving or it gets soggy. ( It still tastes good)

I made this with all white meat ground turkey. My husband sneers at ground turkey, but was impressed.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2000
I made this for a town event and scaled the recipe for fifty people. I used smoked chicken and some mesquite chicken seasoning while simmering vegetables. I added the noodles just before serving. It was awesome!!

Shrimp and Crab Bisque

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2000
The flavor was excellent! I would recommend omitting the salt because the bouillion gave it plenty. I also was not sure if I was supposed to use raw or cooked shrimp. I used raw and simmered for 25 minutes. In addition, I spooned some into the blender and it gave it a great texture. I served this Christmas Eve and it was a hit.
