Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2010
very flavorful cake... as recommended by others, i only used 1.5 cups sugar. turned half the batter into muffins and used the rest in an 8x8 pan. for the muffins i filled them half way with batter, then put in the nut mixture and filled rest of way with batter. thanks for a great recipe! i'll be keeping this one :)

made a marble cake with this recipe and chocolate pound cake III. VERY GOOD! I loved the flavor of this vanilla cake. Next time I'll add lemon and orange zest to the batter.

Zesty Lemon Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2008
This recipe turned out GREAT. The loaf pans should be 9x5. I used 8x4 pans and used the extra batter for cupcakes. For one loaf I added poppyseeds and the other half I add partially thawed mango. I just furthur cubed the large frozen mango cubes that I had partially thawed (hard frozen mango is impossible to chop). I used ammaretto instead of orange liqueur and used sour cream thinned out with milk for the buttermilk I didn't have. The lemon glaze on top adds alot of sparkle to the loaves. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2003
Definitely my idea of a scone. The scones were sweet and had a good crumb. Big hit at work.I used unbleached flour and unsalted butter. Also add dried sour cherries to the butter/flour mixture and then added the liquid. I too turned these into smaller triangles, but I divided the dough in half and patted the dough into a circle and cut the circle into eigths. Thanks Rob and Grandma Johnson for a great recipe.
